I am wondering if I take my receipt to Best Buy if they will match the price difference even though I got a "Package Price" that dropped the cost of the TV $315 off the $2469 it was during memorial weekend.

Any idea if they will do it?

cant beat the 750 for the price.. I love mine... Now we just got a sammy 55" 7100.. And THAT thing is impressive

Been into car audio , HT and electronics for about 10 years now, and been a carpenter for 12 and seeing, and building HT walls is easily becoming a more expensive sport than Car audio.. Its like an addiction , lol

no.. they wont.. Only local dealers with an ad will get you that.. Online and warehouse is a big no-no , cuz they know they cant beat the prices

hmm , idk man.. When i was selling A/V and HT we did not give deals on package deals ( that were already on a discount ), and im almost positive BB wouldnt.. But i could be wrong.. And like I asked.. Have you called them yet? that would be a pretty quick , painless and easy answer

Couldn't hurt to try, but was shot down in store and when I tried to call...that they cant pricematch a package price. Oh well.. $2150 for the TV is a pretty decent deal, even coming from Best Buy.

does the reflective screen bother you guys at all? When I was in BB and I was viewing the XBR9 and the 750 side by side, the "mirror" effect was very apparent on the Sammy's screen during dark scenes. But I was thinking it might be because the store was obviously very bright, and maybe in a home setting it wont be as offensive.

thats cuz the sammys have there ultra clear panel.. there are a few different panel types, sq01, sq02, etc, Mine is the SQ01 which is going to be the most reflective, just due to it being so clear , it almost has the same reflection as glass.. BUT the SQ01 panels do give a HUGE difference in clarity , shapness, contrast, and color.. SO even tho is does glare a lil more than the XBR's etc, its well worth it, due to the extra crispness of the panel

so does your living room have to be completely pitch black to prevent any kind of reflection on the screen during dark scenes?

well.. Both my tv's ( see sig ) have sammys ultra clear panel, And i have NEVER had a problem in my livingroom, hardfloors, 8 windows etc.. Yea , of course you get glare.. ANY TV in my house will.. But is it to the point where you cant watch a movie? no. Is it going to be as good of a picture and are you going to see everything as if you were in a pitch black room? no... JUST LIKE every other TV on the market..

Heres what you do... on sammy TV's you calibrate the MOVIE setting.. ( and i have about 4 PRO calibrations if anyone needs them ) and thats the setting you use 75% of the time, ( not much light , no sun, at night etc )

Now for the other 25% of the time ( when the sun is just bright as can be and theres some glare ) You take those exact calibration settings and use them In the "standard" picture mode, but adjust to make the pic brighter and deeper to compensate for the extr lighting .. ( bottom line this makes the actual Picture brighter for bright lighting conditions ) AND NO!! to those who crank the backlight and brightness.. BIG NONO!! all that does is wash out the color and brighten the screen...

I up the Dynamic contrast, i turn the backlight up 2 notches, I recalibrate the color space and change the color tone....

What this does is make the COLORS brighter.. Not just the screen.. CUz HDTV owners will know the backlight cranked and the brightness cranked will just wash out all the vivid color and make the screen seem "whiter" not brighter..

Does this make sense? lol, i sure hope it kind of does

It actually does have a swivel stand. I have one of these LCD's and I love it. The stand is very nice and has a very smooth swivel in fact.
