Where is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? - Blu-ray Forum

I've been patiently waiting because I didn't want to import it from Japan. It was finally announced for stateside release. Great! It was announced for June 16th.. perfect!

It's June 18th, Amazon has no information on it, but apparently two sellers have it in stock and are selling it, ebay has like.. one or two copies of it up, both have stock photos so I still don't have proof that it even exists.

I know it came out in Canada this month. Did it actually come out this Tuesday? If not, when the hell is it coming out? This is frustrating!

//edit: To those that suggest inetvideo, who shows it in stock - They've said it's in stock since earlier this month. They're selling the Canadian version, which was released on the 2nd. I don't want a Japanese or Canadian release, but it's starting to look like that's the route I'm going to have to take

There is no US release for this film on Blu-ray Disc.

The June 16th date was for the Canadian release by Alliance. You can only import this title right now.

By the way....

If anyone had received this imported from Canada please chime in on the Video & Audio quality. I am tempted to import, but because of some of the Alliance issues I have heard about recently, I don't want to order until I get word it is a quality release with the correct OAR and such. Thanks! AK

If I were to guess I would say it would release in the fall at the earliest but I doubt it seeings how universal hant given any word!

its amazing how many crappy movies get released and yet they put off a great movie like this!
If I knew it was going to be the same release I would get it from Canada in a heartbeat.

Is the Canadian release barebones? I'm going to import this, I'm tired of waiting

Meh, I can wait. I'm sure it'll be slated for a releases sooner or later. There are plenty of other titles coming out to keep me busy in the meantime...

The Canadian release is Region A locked. The disc is also barebones, but the film is presented in 1.78:1 (oringinal ratio, even though back cover states the incorrect 2.35:1), has DTS-HD MA but no subtitles. Cover states 1080p, but cannot confirm.

thanks man, pity its locked! one of my favourite movies but i don't want to import the asian release so i guess i'll just have to wait.
