Finally got my copy of Miami Connection 4K today. So doing a comparison to the drafthouse version, so much a difference with the 4K version. Skin tones look natural and the movie doesn’t look as washed out like the DraftHouse Version. I think this gonna be the best this movie will ever look honestly lol. Definitely worth the upgrade

Got mine in. Playing on my Sony x700, the sound is always out of sync on the UHD. Playing it via my PC is perfectly fine though

Been wanting to see this for years. The previous US blu was region A locked, and couldn't find a region B compatible release anywhere. Only way to watch in the UK was the RiffTrax version on Amazon Prime.
Just sat down to watch this Vinegar Syndrome release and it did not disappoint! Looks amazing, and I now have a new favourite "so bad it's good" cheesy 80s action flick. If you're a fan of stuff like Samurai Cop, Deadly Prey, The Last Dragon, and New York Njnja then this is an absolute must own!

This and No Retreat, No Surrender are two of my biggest go-tos if I ever need a good-spirited but poorly-made martial arts pick me up.

Plenty of people enjoy Miami Connection without Rifftrax or anything like that, myself included. When I first saw it, I don't think I'd even heard of Rifftrax. But then, I've seen Manos: The Hands of Fate in its unadulterated form half a dozen times, but have never seen the MST3K version, nor do I have any desire to.

Yeah it's probably because it's an expensive and elaborate special edition. A while ago (well before its 4k upgrade) I ordered SexWorld on DVD as I wanted the extras that weren't on the blu-ray. They sent me the blu-ray by mistake, but let me keep it and sent the DVD as well.

I can’t stand any of that rifttrax/mst3k type junk, their humor is usually cringier and lamer than the actual movies they make fun of. Personally I saw MC in an art house theater with 20 other people and everyone laughed along the way and clapped at the end, that was a way more enjoyable experience than a couple douchebags yacking over it.

It's a big release so there will be plenty of stock to go around. Just relax and wait for July 1st so you can get it directly from VS.
thanks

well okey soo looking at those 3 sites grindhouse looks to be sold out for now and no longer ships to places outside the US going by there FAQ, dvdorbit charges a little more for the item price(and more for shipping) VS offers free shipping if i spend 175USD or more hmm ... well while thats possbile already made a big order from japan ... least i probbly wont have to worry about Tax when it comes to VS so i probbly will use that site for a few titles but wondering if iv missed any tricks or suggetions ?

i saw you can buy subscriptions and save plus get a select amount of titles to your door per month ? but can only be bought at selected points in the year iv seen it metioned at least one of those subs costs around 750 USD that would be somewere around 1.2 AUD ... so alot of Dosh .... anyone got a break down of what was offered on those plans ?

veering off a bit but is there other retailers i should look at ?

Also, if you don't particularly need VS release, Umbrella just released a nice package for the film, too. It's also much cheaper. https://shop.umbrellaent.com.au/prod...n-1987-blu-ray

$25 at Orbit. https://www.orbitdvd.com/products/mi...95bea2c7&_ss=r

It's not bad at all, just amateur. But I find it genuinely entertaining and earnest.

100% agree. The worst was when they did a Rifftrax for Starship Troopers. What the hell was the point of riffing a movie that is intentionally an over-the-top satire?

Not only is Rifftrax awful, but it started an entire culture of unfunny people on Youtube trying to emulate them
