Just saw a 3D trailer of this at the Lightyear 3D movie premier and the 3D trailer looked great. Minions, the Rise of Gru should be awesome in 3D. The other Minions (and Despicable Me) movies had strong 3D so I'm hoping this one is in line with those.

I’d love all of these on 3D Blu ray

I have them all on blu-ray 3D, special take for the Minions 3D being on steelbook(3D+2D pack) sold by fnacPT and not damaging us like they did with Despicable Me 3 release full price with just the 3D disc intead of having it in a pack 3D+2D.

Rise of Gru will be just released at cinemas early July, Portugal will be the first to have it screening for some reason on June 30th.

Same thing here, it opens June 30, but the 3D doesn't start until July1. And then it's only one 3D showing per day. DreamWorks usually has awesome fun 3D, and the Despicable Me films had a "look we're in 3D" scene at the end.
(Here is East Texas)

Did anyone else experience the weirdness of having beaucoup previews of this, including a bespoke tie-in, shown only in 2D before Jurassic World Dominion 3D?

Looks like this film is ripe for some great 3D, maybe its trailer was shown in 2D because it would have humiliated the Avatar WoW and Thor 4 trailers, which were shown in 3D?

When I saw JW Dominion, we saw the "put on your 3D glasses" in 3D, then two hotel.com commercials, Minions, Thor, and Black Adam trailers, all in 2D. Then the movie started...

No bit where the minions are yelling off of a building to hear the echo, and a T Rex gets in on the action?

Maybe I received an old cut of the film as I still have not seen a Black Adam trailer in the wild. Weird.

That's a bit of a tragedy as of itself, Thor 4, and Avatar 2, it looks like the one most framed for 3D.

Us Near-sighted people see 3D differently than Far-Sighted people.

When talking about 3D we should always mention which one we are, so we can tell if we will see the 3D the same way as you.

My watch group has representatives from most of the spectrum of sights. Our evaluation of 3D strength is pretty much on the same page.

James Cameron's T2 3D attraction had strong popout for folks with astigmatism, farsightedness, nearsightedness, and 20/20. Pretty much the same holds for Universal's Spiderman and Harry Potter rides, though those weren't as 3D as T2, from what I recall.

Still, if I were Universal, I'd give the conversion crew passes to the Harry Potter roller coaster and have 'em ride it until they've been converted to strong 3D

After all, Minions has a reputation to uphold, as they were the example used for strong popout in a film over on Wikipedia for a while. I notice that their "3D Film" article features quotes from myriad nattering nabobs of 3D negativism, as well as the assertion that stereoscopic depth perception only works within "arm's length" of your eyes.

I had forgotten about the T Rex, but it was also flat. And loud.

Yes most movies and video games look the same in 3D but there are some movies and video games that have 3D that are viewed differently by different people. A good example would be Super Mario 3D Land on the Original Gangsta Nintendo 3DS with its bulletproof microfiber external shell that had a sweet glossy look that wasn't a fingerprint magnet.
