Cameron Diaz To “Un-Retire” Via Netflix Action-Comedy ‘Back In Action’ With Jamie Foxx

Cameron Diaz (Charlie’s Angels) is coming out of retirement for a Netflix film titled Back in Action, in which she’ll star opposite Jamie Foxx (Day Shift).

The storyline for the action-comedy is being kept under wraps, but Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) is directing from a scriupt he wrote with Brendan O’Brien’s (Neighbors). Beau Bauman (Central Intelligence) is producing for Good One Productions alongside Gordon for Exhibit A, with Foxx, Datari Turner, O’Brien and Mark McNair exec producing.

I’m sure it’ll be another forgettable Netflix action movie but hey it’s got Cameron Diaz in it so I’ll watch it.

Just as expected, this Netflix action flick is just as dumb and preposterous as you'd have guessed, yet still eminently watchable, especially if you enjoy watching Foxx and Diaz, who are both still very likable when they're doing this kind of fluff.

It was okay. Had a little chuckle here and there.

My wife, of course, loved it!

Bugs me that my wife won’t give certain classics and actually good movies a chance, but she’ll always give these “generic, SOS” movies a chance all the time.

Yeah better than I expected but then the expectations were so low...good to see once on a Friday or Saturday night with a few beers.

My wife liked it more than I. Of course I didn't say that.
