Default HBOMax Quietly Removed Six WB Streaming-Exclusive Movies

Some of these movies have already been mentioned in their respective threads. However just to keep an eye out for all of the rapidly vanishing WB content, I think a separate thread would be a good idea.

I mean seriously, what is going on over there right now! I get Discovery wanting to do something housecleaning and such, but at this point all they've done is implode...

I'm starting to get worried there may be a reason why 'Titans' and 'Doom Patrol' haven't gotten season premier dates in over a year...

I love that they used the word "quietly". As opposed to a spokesperson banging a wooden spoon against a pot, yelling over and over "guess what we removed".

Not that any of these titles were relevant to my watching preferences, but with the unfocused nature of HBO Max right now, it may be time for me to cancel my subscription.

This is why it's important to push back against streaming services.

These were always intended to be streaming only so they wouldn’t get a release at all if not for HBO Max.

That's exactly the problem. More support for streaming and less support for physical media means less titles are released on physical media and therefore less titles are safe from being removed.

What about made for TV movies? Which is basically what these are?

Anything released exclusively on TV is just as bad as streaming.

But there were way more straight-to-DVD titles before streaming became popular. If streaming never became popular there would probably be plenty of straight-to-Blu-ray titles as well.

That Soderbergh movie seems like it's staying.

Good luck with that. Studios aren't going back in time to when disc was important

It's true, that shipped has sailed. All they care about is streaming, preferably on their own platform

Every little bit of support for physical media helps. Every title released on disc is another title that can never be taken away.

Discovery soon will turn HBO Max into mindless reality shows just like what they did with all the Discovery channels are supposed to be Documentaries and educational. TLC = THE LEARNING CHANNEL <<<<<yeah right.

HBO Max had such potential. It's a shame that Discovery is going to essentially kill it.
