It depends if they're a direct port from the DVD and thus will be encoded in PAL.
If they're upscaled to HD, then they will be playable, although I wouldn't count on that for featurettes, maybe only on those long documentaries.

And it really wouldn't be that big of a problem, considering how the movie itself is worth getting the SteelBook for.

This one isn't the same as the Sapphire releases, right? Am a bit confused because the release date is the same. The editions on Amazon.com have different images... Just so I don't pre-order the wrong one...

I don't know if you know it or not Kynch, but there is a dvd steelbook of Gladiator EXACTLY as you describe above with the face split in half on the front and back. It's from Germany. Here's a pic' of it (courtesy of Tutter over at SBH)



This is one of my top 5, if not my # 1, fav' movie. I like the cover, but I hope it's more of an off white or a marblized color. It might look good also with that crackle paint scheme the way they did the German 10,000 BC.

The only way I wouldn't get this one is if I stopped collecting steelbooks, and I don't see that happening.

Not sure if this title will be released as a steelbook or book. But looking at the coverart, it sure looks like one. I really hope so as I love this movie.

Perhaps UK members here can shed some light on the matter?
