In The Lost Lands : Edit. Title was typed wrong.

https://screenrant.com/lost-lands-mo...ovovich-fight/

Milla also posted a confirmation that she is prepping for the film on her Instagram, if ya don't believe screen rant.

here is that imdb page :

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4419684/

So I'm excited. While I despise Game of Thrones, its not because of the writing. Rather lame acting, imo. But then again, I'm not much for newer TV shows.

Anderson has made a slew of financial hits and misses, but more hits. And he basically convinced Hollywood that video games should be movies, too. He succeeded with Mortal Kombat and RE 1-6, directing 4 of them, and about his worst film I would say is AvP simply because you can't match ppl like Scott or Cameron in that franchise.

Milla is always good no matter the rotten tomatoe her Husband makes for overly serious movie goers. Either way I see this project as a much better win/win for the duo than Monster Hunter as the Pandemic guidelines are lifted, plus Martin's name, and Dave Batastia being attached I guess helps? Speaking of Anderson, Event Horizon has aged really well.

Thoughts?

Despise Game of Thrones? Lame acting? I know Game of Thrones is not for everyone (the theme, genre etc) but I cannot before recall having seen anyone anywhere 'despise it for its lame acting'. I know taste differs but I do wonder what you compare this iconic tv-series, one of the greatest in tv-history, with.

I grew up with a different "style" of acting in TV shows. X-Files, Star Trek, etc.

No, I've heard that criticism. It's not to do with the older actors (Sean Bean, Charles Dance, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Michelle Fairley, Ciaran Hinds, Stephen Dillane, Liam Cunningham) who are of course all legends and mostly brilliant in their parts. It's the younger actors (Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams) who kind of let the side down, especially since much of the story focuses on them.

Anyone heard any rumblings of when this will get a release? IMDB shows late 2024 for some countries, but nothing "Confirmed".

Could be good, Monster Hunter felt like a time wasted. Event Horizon is his best work, still would like a prequel for it. R E 1-6 I like as well.

That's a very good question. I was invited to a test screening in California earlier this year, but couldn't attend because I'm not in America. Roadshow were presold the rights in my region. StudioCanal have UK and so on. But the US rights are with CAA and they haven't announced a buyer yet.

It's plausible that Screen Gems are handling it (they're still involved with Constantin on RE) and it just hasn't been made public. But if the film hasn't sold the US rights and it has been test screened that would be a major red flag for the film's quality.

If the film sucks/flops PWSA is in major trouble career-wise.

The film is scheduled for September 26, so we'll logically get a trailer soon. That will tell us a lot. The situation with the US distributor is definitely a red flag, but we'll see what happens.

According to a 4chan leaker who worked on it, the movie ran out of money during post-production and they were able to secure additional funding. So evidently someone saw the rough cut and thought spending millions of extra dollars on it was worthwhile. But sunk cost fallacies happen in filmmaking all the time. The leaker also said the film was "wild" and the sexual energy between Jovovich and Bautista gave them "cuck vibes for Paul". If it's bad it won't be bad because it's boring. It'll be bad because it's a fever dream about the director's wife cucking him with a werewolf.

Ahem. PWSA is a director at his strongest with a lot of physical sets and practical effects and this film is shot entirely on soundstages using Unreal Engine virtual production, the first of its kind. It supposedly looks spectacular visually, but that doesn't equate to being good. There are plenty of visually stunning movies that fall flat because nothing else works.

I haven't heard anything about this till this thread, but hopefully it's decent. Here's some general info:

Quote:
Anderson is set to write and direct an adaptation of George R.R. Martin's short story, In the Lost Lands. Peter V. Brett's fantasy novel The Warded Man was optioned for film production by Anderson and longtime producing partner Jeremy Bolt, but a 2016 update of Brett's website stated that they were no longer involved in the project.
RR Martin, from Game of Thrones books, which I haven't read yet.

Yes, hopefully this is entertaining. Anderson has a great sense of action most times.

I was wondering what happened to Paul WS Anderson and his wife Milla Jovovich since RE6 and Monster Hunter, which I thought had some decent action and pacing and an improvement over RE6.

RE6, Paul used rapid-fire editing, which he said is for more sophisticated audiences who enjoy seeing images flash rapidly in front of them to the point it's hard to tell what's going on. To that effect anyway he said in an interview, and used the word sophisticated when describing it. I also felt Wesker was tossed away in that film, compared to his awesome boss status in the prior films, Afterlife especially. Plus we never got to see the opening big battle that Retribution hinted at. A big war it was going to be. But she just starts off trying to drive away from one flying monster.

Also I looked at Vertical Entertainment as I was unfamiliar, seems they do give Blu Ray releases at times and of course DVD's but what about 4k? I can't seem to find even one 4k they've put out. Hope this one gets a 4k, of course I also want it to be good which I think it will be. Anyway food for the thought while we wait on its release (and trailer next week).

Comments on the trailer are hilarious. Same people call this childish yet annoyingly requote Deadpool 3.

Everyone's a critic.
