Not quite as good as the earlier 'Dead' movies but not quite as serious either. It's kind of fun in a brainless (heh) way.

Jumanji (1995)

i would have loved this a child. A great premise, and so many exciting things that happened. I liked the pacing as well, although there were a few too many endings. Thanks for the recommendation, kingdoxie.

This reminded me a lot of Spielberg's Duel. Kind of ridiculous at many points the way things play out, but it's a fun ride.

37. The Mandalorian - Season 1

First Viewing. I watched this over the last week or so and liked it a lot. I liked seeing all the new aliens and characters and I will have to check out Season 2 soon.

Who Killed the KLF? (2021)

This was a very good and entertaining documentary about KLF. I followed them for years after hearing What Time is Love? back in 1989, and was quite flabbergasted and amazed when I realised that there was this whole thought universe behind them. I read the Illuminatus-trilogy and so on. I think they both made me understand that dance music can be about something else than just raving, and they made me interested in conspiracy culture (as a phenomenon, not a believer).

I think this documentary will be interesting both to those who never knew much about The KLF, and to those like me who followed them.

Avatar (2009)

When I saw the news that Disney+ has yanked Avatar from their line-up I was reminded that over the years of purchasing movie lots I have amassed three copies of the film, but haven't watched it since the the theatrical release. I watched the Collector's Edition Extended Version, and I only noticed something new in the opening of earth. The film was already far too long, so if I ever watch it again it will be the theatrical version I think.

I was blown way with the visuals the first time, and it still looks good, there is just no real depth to it. I looove the ending with the colonisers marched off the planet, though.

Also, for such an expensive film it seems so lazy. Nobody could think of a better name than unobtainium?
