Oh nice! Definitely intend on grabbing this and I do like that cover art, which I believe is the original poster.

Before ever seeing it all I knew about the film is that it’s what got Murray to join Ghostbusters.

Yay! I actually thought this was a pretty good adaptation of the book. It doesn't get a lot of love but I enjoyed it. Def picking this up.

The critics trashed Murray's performance because he inserted some of his SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE schtick in the movie, especially obvious at the beginning. It's actually done so effortlessly by Murray that it doesn't ruin the movie or anything. I just don't think he could help himself.
The real saving grace here tho is Theresa Russell. Y'know, it's weird how I can just watch her onscreen... in anything... over & over...
What's up with that anyway?

Bigger fan of the Tyrone Power version, but I'm still happy to see more catalog titles get the Blu-ray treatment.

Awesome news! I actually think this is quite an underrated gem. Murray's casting is a little bizarre, with his off-putting deadpan delivery - but he ends up adding a lot of personality to the film and makes it pretty unique. There's a great supporting cast here too, including one of the better performances of Theresa Russell. So glad someone is releasing this!

And why is MSRP $29.99 (based on the MovieZyng sale price). Seems kinda high.

Hoping this is restored from a good source.. the DVD print has some damage. It's still a good watch, but this transfer needs some work.

I was expecting the price to come down by its release day, but still $24.99 on Amazon. Has anyone seen it cheaper? I want the film, but its a bit steep for a disc I haven't seen a review on or a hint of the transfer quality.

Murray's had a string of bad press lately. Shame. I've wanted to see the few of his older catalog movies that I haven't seen.

I've met Bill Murray a handful of times and he's always been the nicest guy possible, so I'm a bit surprised to hear some of these allegations, but most seems like he was just trying to be funny, but who knows. He did dump Seth Green into a trashcan apparently, and really curious what caused that to happen.

I don't think we'll see the price come down much.
Maybe by the end of the year, some used copies might pop up for $15-$20.
Hopefully we'll see a review soon, I'm confident the HD transfer will look good.

I am watching this bluray right now and Im very happy with the results. This is a standard upgrade that turns a standard dvd into a standard 2015 era bluray. Good color, good detail, good brightness. Not going to compete with your 4Ks, but then again, this film doesnt need to.

I still love this film and I love Bill for taking a shot at this time in his career, because this film is what he really wanted to do with his life.
