Please help me add 2 Dolby Speakers somehow

Hi guys so I have a tradition simple 5.1 Polk in a box set from Frys from like over 10 years ago. I have Atmos ready setup though although I just want the most minimal setup i can get in this small room.

This is for a small 12 X 12 kind of room. Laying back on a bed scenario.
Center and 2 fronts and then 2 behind me I set near ceiling.

I'm wondering to get at least a little decent Atmos action do I add 2 speakers behind me or in front.

If you only have a 5.1 setup, you should be using the two speakers behind you as surround speakers (to the left and right of you) and not rears, which only come into play on a 7.1 setup. Also, if your rear speakers are near the ceiling then that won't really work with Atmos since there won't be enough separation between the two.

Ideally speakers for Atmos should go above your head, but if you can't do that then using them as front heights right under your ceiling would also work. I've tried both and there's really no substitute for having overhead speakers. Regardless of what you choose to go with, I would lower your rear speakers though.
