Hello, my name is Blu. Not really, but I think you get the point.

I am a staunch Blu-Ray supporter, a huge Sony FanBoy and I'm not scared to admit it. I'm 25 years old and I live in a little town in South Jersey.

I stumbled on this site not too long after I got my PS3 (late December, couldn't find one untill then). I knew about the Blu-Ray capabilities but did not fully comprehend what was to be had untill I bought my first Blu-Ray title. Immediately, I was hooked. Since then I have tried to make it a duty to buy atleast 4 a month.

The PS3 is on almost all the time. If it's not being used as a Blu-Ray player or I'm not playng games then it is being used as a regular DVD player. With upscaling capibilities of course.

Primarily, the PS3 is my gaming conso.....nay, my gaming Fortress!!!! This is the first Playstation I did not purchase at launch, but I'll save this story for another time.

Currently I have a Mitsubishi 65" DLP which has given me nothing but problems. I own 11 PS3 games and 38 Blu-Ray movies.

I plan on upgrading everything in my home theature. The TV must go!!!! I want a Sony. I plan on getting a new reciever soon as I have a 10 year old Sony-ES reciever. Once the new reciever comes I plan on upgrading to 7 new speakers as the 5 I currently have are getting outdated.

Well, that about sums it up, I think thats a nice little intro. I love this site guys. I found it shortly after I was baptised Blu but decided to join now since I wanted to become part of the world class Blu-Ray discussion that goes on here.

Also a side question. Would I be correct in assuming that most of the users on here are not from America?

I must say that I'm surprised that a name as easy as "Blu" hasn't been taken yet. Welcome.

Hey boy blu, can't you hear all the noise, it's for you.
All the towns waiting there, let us go.
There's a show like you aint seen before.
Welcome home, where you been all these years, look around.
All the crowd is in tears,
It's so good to see you in the streets of your town

Chorus
Hey boy blu is back.
Hey boy blu is back.
Hey boy blu is back.
Hey boy blu is back.
Hey boy blu is back.
Hey boy blu is back.

With apologies to ELO.

Hey, welcome to the site.

I can't say for sure but it seems that there is a mix of locations on here. I know I've seen a lot of stuff from the UK but there is also a good amount on here from the states.

Thanks for the warm welcoming guys. This is why I have decided to become a forum "member" and resign my "lurker" status.

I was actually as suprised as you all were with the name "Blu" not being taken, I honestly did not think I was going to get it but figured it was worth a try. Now I have set you all up to quote that oh so famous line from Old School!!!!

And I'm from the Mullica Hill/Mantua area.

Word Blu!
I won't try to disuade you from Sony equipment when it comes to receivers and televisions, but when you buy your new speakers come around and ask for some tips, you won't regret it.
Sony do not make great speakers.
