India/Bollywood Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva (2022) [No 3D Blu-ray]

Although the Indian Movie, Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva 3D movie has been discussed in the Indian 3D Movies and 3D Blu-ray thread, I felt this movie deserved its own thread. I saw it in IMAX 3d at an AMC theater and was absolutely blown away by the 3D in this movie. This movie is the first of a trilogy of films which has been announced.

I really hope it gets a Blu-ray release!

Edit... I can't seem to get the trailer imbedded so hopefully somebody else will post the trailer.

IIRC it’s a BB code tag which isn’t actually publicised or shown on the forum’s post function at all. It might be [youtube] (unique code at end of YouTube URL only) [/youtube] I can’t quite remember, I hope someone can fill in.

Honestly it’s kind of weak how outdated and old the backend for these forums is. It’s a huge forum, and the biggest discussing home media and the forum software is straight out of 2008.

Agreed 100%. It’s ridiculously difficult to post photos or gifs or YouTube links and have them display properly.

It’s not intuitive. Copy this code string:

Code:
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XPIldknvjc
Now go to the YouTube video you want to post. Copy the video ID number from your browser’s address bar at the top of your browser window, not the embed code and not the share link you get by clicking those buttons.

Now replace the video ID number in the code string above with the video ID number of the clip you are reposting. Copy/paste that string directly into your post without using any of this forum’s buttons - just as you would paste any text without using any buttons.

It should result in this …

I believe it just needs to click on the insert link button and then paste the youtube video url from the address bar, as posting the link without it will be make it just a link to the video page.

The method I posted is the only one that works for me. Using the insert link button just results in a link to the video’s page. But folks can test it out and see what works for them by creating a post and using the Advanced button to preview it before posting.

These issues can be relative to which browser one is using. I'm using MS Edge.

Your procedure worked perfectly. I would have never come up with that on my own. Tried it on the Brahmastra trailer...

I’m on an iPad. The embed codes and insert buttons won’t generate a video player in this forum for me for some reason. The copy/paste code thing may not be necessary for others, but it works here. And I too would love to see Brahmastra on 3DBR! Looks fantastic. Unfortunately, not holding my breath with the track record of Indian 3D.

Did this really need its own thread, especially given the fact a 3-D Blu is unlikely.

Oh, excuse me! I thought this was the Brahmastra 3d thread... I'll head back to the "Indian 3d Movies" thread now

My girl and I just watched it tonight. Absolutely astounding 3D and absolutely the finest Bollywood film I’ve ever seen. One of the finest action fantasies I’ve ever seen. And one of the finest 3D films I’ve ever seen. This conversion puts every other one I’ve seen to shame. Looks like strong native all the way. Make sure you catch this in a theatre while you can. Loved the story, loved the cast, loved the music, loved the effects, loved the spectacularly colorful cinematography, loved it all. Nearly three hours long and I was glued to the screen throughout. If this doesn’t get a 3D Blu release I’ll be devastated. Looks like I’m gonna end up devastated.

Any scuttlebutt about The Woman King bumping this out of XD?

As of now, Cinemark only has its full roster of films listed through Wednesday, and Thursday shows a limited roster, with The Woman King sucking up beaucoup XD showings (in 2D).

My other choice is to see this in a tiny (~60 seats) Cinemark auditorium, which is the second-smallest auditorium they offer. Is it a deal-breaker to see this on a modest screen?

It's such a shame these Indian 3D movies don't get a 3D blu ray release but I guess these days we're lucky if ANYTHING gets a 3D blu ray release.

Only a very limited number of 3D screenings here in the UK (none of which are IMAX 3D AFAIK), so had to opt for 2D in a fairly sizable screen with Atmos.

Really enjoyed the film and can well imagine that it would be incredible in 3D, so gutted that I'll never get to experience it that way.

A small 3D screen, I would sit closer up to the screen if that was the only option. I had a large screen, but can still enjoy 3D films on a 100" screen size at home too. And even on a smaller 3DTV.

Yes, if they could have a limited print on demand blu ray 3D release or something by this point, that would be good.
