Yeah I was expecting the big battle be in Season 3 since this Season Finale episode was focusing so much on Mira and her Village and even a glimpse to Spear’s past. But then like when there is about 5 minutes left it becomes like a oh we almost forgot to add in the villain for the episode. I didn’t mind that realistic end to Samurai Jack. I mean it’s true that if Jack succeeds in destroying everything Aku has ever done including creating Ashi in Jack’s past, it stands to reason that Ashi wouldn’t have ever existed. Though if you get the recent Samurai Jack videogame there is a way to get Ashi to live. Unicorn Warriors Eternal will likely be great because if it having Genndy’s involvement on it. I don’t know if it will be better than his other work but still should be worth a watch. |

![]() I agree with you about the villian almost feeling thrown in at the last minute. I was literally checking the time left on the episode, and thinking "you only have a few minutes left. Are you going to set up a 3rd season?", but I think it rapped everything up okay. I don't hate the ending of Samurai Jack, but I do think season 5 went down hill in its 2nd half. I don't think it needed the romance, or at least not in the way they went about it. Just having Jack save Ashi by screaming "I love you", felt kind of dumb. |

In this week's podcast with Joe Dante, Genndy said that he'd be up for a 3rd season depending on Warner Bros.

I hope he leaves it as it is. That last episode was a perfect finale to the series.

I agree the finale felt a bit rushed, wouldn't have minded a 2 parter, first part focusing on Mira and the village, and second part with the final battle and aftermath. Would have liked to see more what happened with the Fire guy once the demon took him back, and a bit more of Mira and Spear's daughter. A very emotional journey these 2 seasons. Great stuff, I hope there's more Primal in the future! |
