What is your favorite season of Buffy?

Season 6. Dark Willow - Once more with Feeling. Not only the best Buffy Season of all time, for me the single best episode of Television I‘ve ever seen. Show should have ended with this season and maybe a one of movie.

Season 7. Buffy and Spike's relationship is at its best. Dawn is great as a member of the team instead of just a damsel in distress. Andrew has a lot of funny moments. Faith is at her best in the final five episodes. The First and Caleb are great villains.

2, 5 and 6 are my favorites, and it's a tossup on any given day which I'd consider the "best" among those three. 5 probably has the least amount of clunker episodes, but I can't help but feel a warm appreciation for the silly, campy horror episodes of the earlier seasons.

I would have to choose season two if a gun was held to my head but I love them all. Same goes for Angel.

Genuinely love them all but Season Five has the best narrative flow and is structured the most like a serialized drama, and it contains Sarah Michelle Gellar’s strongest performance.

Back then it was Season 2 and 3, now it's Season 5.

4 is a great Season, it may has the most amount of good episodes, even if the overall arc is weaker than in Seasons 2, 3 and 5.

Hush + Restless are some of the best episodes of television, then there is Who Are You?, Something Blue, Fear Itself, Pangs, A New Man, New Moon Rising..

Another vote for 3. Faith all the way. But also The Wish/Doppelgangland, Lovers Walk, and The Zeppo are all top-tier episodes in addition to the ones advancing the top-tier season arc.

Season 3 doesn't necessarily have the highest peaks/best episodes, but it has the best record for consistently very good episodes.

The only problem I have with any season of Buffy it at the end of season seven when everyone turns on her and put Faith in charge. I would have told everyone to screw off, grabbed Spike and left for LA to join up with Angel and figure out how to stop the First once it devoured Sunnydale. It has always left a bad taste in my mouth how it was handled.
