Default Would you pay for this?

If Amazon offered a slipcover service for an extra 2.99 per eligible title that guaranteed you a slipcover if paid for, would you pay it? Note in this hypothetical example if you did not pay it you may or may not receive a slipcover just like now. The fee just guarantees your copy has one.

Do that and you pretty much guarantee Amazon will take the slipcovers off movies that don't have them sealed and put them on the copies people are paying extra for.

I wouldn't do it anyway.

I like slipcovers, but I'm not obsessed with everything having them. I wouldn't think they'd take the time to separate them out, they already just pick whatever's on top. Plus, I'd hate to pay for a guaranteed slipcover and it end up being mangled by whatever packaging they use or during shipping.

Absolutely I would but for sure with the extra 2.99 they would need to better package there shipments to guarantee that if the slip comes in in terrible shape that they replace it.

I have a storage bin full of slip covers ..... I hope in 40 years they are the most coveted things on the planet but that's the risk I take.

I'm a slipcover guy too. I look at slips as essentially baseball cards. Some are just not worth anything as the movie title sucks, while others are coveted. We should just get the slips graded. Lol. That's what will really drive up the prices.

I sometimes consider going into the Slip Cover restoration bussiness but I guess I lack the skills and that's the biggest obstacle.

Probably not. But they should just ad an option where you can check a box if you want a slipcover. If you don't check it. No slip for you.

No, I would not pay anything extra to guarantee getting a slipcover. I like them, but not that much.

I would pay extra to have my items better packaged for shipment.

How about Amazon asking the buyer to pay extra for slips that don't have crimped corners? Last few slips I get now from Amazon have crimped corners. Not something that makes me want to buy from Amazon.

Realistic but unlikely. Things bought online are supposed to arrive in new condition.

So, a steelbook with a dent or scratch is not like new but a slip cover without a crimped corner may as well be a unicorn.

No.

When I buy a BD/UHD at the store I always go for the slipless one. When I get them with online orders I throw them in this big trunk I have in a walk in closet.
