I really hope they do the Snedeker House for this one.

It's already been done (Haunting in Connecticut) but I think it would make great fodder for the Conjuring crew.

The Snekeder House

In 1986, Carmen and Al Snedeker rented a house in Southington, Connecticut. While exploring the residence, they uncovered
[Show spoiler]mortuary tools in the basement, leading them to the chilling realization that their new home was a former funeral parlor. It seemed as though many of the former “clientele” had never left. The smell of rotting flesh lingered throughout the house, and running water would at times turn blood red. The eldest Snekeder son was plagued by visions and claimed to see ghosts. These ghosts reportedly sexually assaulted both Carmen and Al. Unsure where else to turn, the Snedekers asked Ed and Lorraine Warren for assistance. After examining the home, the Warrens attributed the hauntings to the ghosts of those who were brought to the funeral home. They concluded that the morticians had partaken in unsavory activities with the bodies.

How many names does David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick need? Honestly from a billing point of view it just feels kind of selfish - "look at me!"

In the past he was just David Leslie Johnson, but I guess that just wasn't enough.

Good. The third one wasn’t the best but it was certainly better than most of the other films in the Conjuring franchise.

I really think the fourth one should put a little focus on the Warren’s daughter Judy. It’s strange that she’s their only child yet they have basically ignored her since the first movie.

I would like to see them cover the case of Bill Ramsey, aka the Southend Werewolf. The real life case took place in 1983, while the Conjuring 3 was set in 1981, so no need to make it a prequel or alter real dates.

The first two movies were great but the third was a big drop off in quality. Hopefully this is more like the first two.

The Warren's wrote about them facing off with a werewolf, I'm surprised they haven't adapted it already.

I guess he's not into the brevity thing.

He's been married since 2012, and his wife took his surname at the time (Johnson), so the McGoldrick is a mystery to me.

I think it can safely be linked to the departure of James Wan as director. I don't have much faith in this one without him, but I will hold out hope.

definitely

when I saw michael chaves was directing the third one and having seen the curse of la llorona, I was sure it'd be a massive drop in quality, and boy it was! but apparently Wan was happy because they gave chaves the nun sequel

the only one who can save this franchise is james wan, if he isnt directing then they should end the thing

Diminishing returns with this series as it goes on. The first was great, second overrated and third just pretty bad. I don't have high hopes but I can appreciate its a series that tries a little harder than the average horror.

I'm not sure why people want particular cases to be represented, the movies barely stick to the real events. The second film took the Enfield poltergeist and then did very little in the way of telling the true story.

Absolutely its because Wan wasn't directing. I kind of wish Wan would have stuck with The Conjuring franchise instead of making Aquaman 2. But I can understand why. I'm sure the money for Aquaman 2 is bigger. But I feel like horror is the genre he's meant to be in it. The Conjuring is definitely his best movie in my opinion.

I think The Conjuring 4 could be good. But they just need a better director than Michael Chaves. Before that he was only known for directing a badly reviewed 3rd rate spinoff of The Conjuring and that's what he went right back to because now he's directing The Nun 2.

Get someone like Zak Hilditch (1922), Vincenzo Natali (In The Tall Grass) or Karyn Kusama (The Invitation) to direct the next film. They are experienced directors who don't have a big name but have horror credibility.
