Reading this thread, I got itchy and pulled the trigger on Thousand Faces of Dunjia. I knew I said earlier in the other thread I am closed for buying the rest of the year but here I am. Cue in Whitesnake music.

Take it from someone who is not a committed 3D collector (which is a weird thing to say with over 200 movies) but this should have been at the top of your wanted list anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it

Very effective 3D with a good amount of pop-outs, especially for the Genki Rockets ones. I had a lot of fun with the music too. Genki Rockets are very electronic dance music but there was more diversity in the music on the 3D Video Selection one. You can easily find the Genki Rockets videos online and can see the 3D potential - and they didn't hold back on the discs.
The only problem with these is that they are all so short. I did repeat my watch of each right after finishing them, I enjoyed them so much. Compared with other music discs I've seen (live concerts, Lichtmond) these were my favorite despite the short length. If anyone has other great 3D music video recommendations I'd be happy to hear them!

These are difficult to find but not impossible. I found them all from a used Japanese media store online and would recommend stocking up on other Japanese 3D movies to combine the shipping cost. Highly recommended!

Just received from Japan! Was originally just going to order Dr. Strange from Amazon but due to their shipping restrictions, I looked around a used media store for obscure titles I didn't already have. Except for Dr. Strange, all of these are blind buys. The ones on the top row have only around 20 min. of content (animated shorts and music videos) but I was able to get them fairly cheap. Runway Beat also is only 3D for the last 20 or 30 minutes.
could you list all title ? it's looks kinda interesting !

Yep, I got a little lazy and realized some of these titles are in Japanese or are difficult to read.

Hipira: The Little Vampire - 20 minutes of shorts, No English but kids show and easy enough to understand
Disney 3D Showcase - 20 minutes of shorts and trailers, got it for "Working for Peanuts." US version also available but not easy to find
Genki Rockets: make.believe - 12 minutes of music videos
Genki Rockets: Curiosity - 12 minutes of music videos
3D Music Video Selection - 20 minutes of music videos
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Little Ghostly Adventures of Tofu Boy - No English
May'N: Phonic Nation - Live concert
Runway Beat - Only in 3D for last 20-30 minutes. Site says has English subtitles, haven't confirmed yet.

I'd be curious to hear your impressions of Little Ghostly Adventures of Tofu Boy 3D.

Just finished watching Little Ghostly Adventures of Tofu Boy. The disc is not English friendly though I could follow along for most of it. Seemed a little slow in the middle, probably because I couldn't understand the dialogue, but I enjoyed it overall. There are spirit creatures in the beginning of the movie that reminded me a bit of Spirited Away and most of the movie is focused on one spirit traveling around modern day Tokyo. The human characters looked very rough, like something from an early 2000s video game, but the spirit creatures were all fun and had better animation.

In terms of the 3D it was a very serviceable presentation though I feel like it was being held back. There were a few scenes with characters reaching out towards the screen in different ways without any actual popouts. Some of the scenes had very nice layers. If they had pushed the 3D stereo a bit more this could have been a great presentation, but it was mostly mild to medium throughout. I'd give it a 2.5/5 compared with other Asian movies BleedOrange scored on the first page of this thread. The 3D is definitely there and the movie benefits from it, but there is nothing outstanding.

Ah gee I just noticed on IMDB that Immortal Demon Slayer was 3D Imax. Love that movie. I didn't realize it had a 3D version in existence. Shame no disc...

Oh no - and "Legend of the Naga Pearls" was IMAX 3d too.

I didn't realize there were so many skipped...

No more Hong Kong Blu-ray 3Ds unfortunately. There is a lot of unreleased Chinese-language 3D.

If only RSM could strike a deal for the orphaned Chinese 3D films. And all others too.

Been looking for a source/database of this (unreleased 3D Chinese movies). Thanks!

Oh nice - great reference.

But what an UTTER GUT PUNCH some of those movies... Especially Operation Red Sea, Kung Fu Jungle, Firestorm, !!! That said, the utter carnage in Operation Red Sea would make Piranha look mild... I had to stop reading after Firestorm as it as my blood pressure go thru the roof... So many movies there I just love and rewatch. Oh my goodness....

At least we got most of the native 3D before it died, minus Wen Jiang's experimental flop. There's tons of good action movies with Chinese conversions though and several by Gener8 and one by DNEG. The lack of Indian cinema on Blu-ray 3D is quickly becoming the real tragedy. Most of their conversions are done by DNEG and look much better than China's.

I screened Digimon Grand Prix for a guest last night. He loved it so much he asked me to replay it immediately. Not too shabby considering what I paid for the entire Digimon Movie boxset.

That glowing reception inspired me to place an order for Resident Evil Damnation 3D. I wasn't taken with Tekken Blood Vengeance from the same studio, but I hear Damnation is better. The clips I've seen on Youtube look like they'd have excellent pop.

I was bemoaning the fact that the Iceman sequel (Donnie Yen) wasn't 3D like the first one, but see in that list it was - just not on the Blu-Ray. Sigh.

Nothing went right with that film's production, and May 2018 was the last Hong Kong Blu-ray 3D release. I'm not surprised that Iceman: The Time Traveller got skipped. Chinese 3D cinema post-Covid is not as thriving as it once was. I hope that Tsui Hark and Soi Cheang go back to it one day. It looks like Wuershan's Fengshen Trilogy is finally getting released this year. Not expecting a conversion, but fingers crossed.

Love the Resident Evils. Hard to keep track of them. Is this correct?

9 REs total. 6 live action & 3 animated. Of the live-actions, the last 3 are on 3DBR (Afterlife, Retribution & The Final Chapter). Of the animateds, only Damnation is on 3DBR. Does that sound right?
