![]() Co-created by Jamie Foxx (!), it follows the agents of the Philadelphia Police Department's Missing Persons Unit, headed by a woman who lost her son when he was six. At the end of the first episode the missing son pops up again, but [Show spoiler] 2 episodes in & it's generally terrible & tonally all over the place, with Caan seeming like he's acting in an entirely different show to the rest of the cast & half the time he appears to be relying his late father's more recognisable tics. The main thing that bugs me though is the incredibly irritating & unprofessional 'spiritual' woman who constantly talks about her past lives, lights candles & sandalwood in the office - which apparently has no smoke detectors or fire alarms - & insists on praying when the clock is ticking (this show is all about ticking clocks). I've no doubt in the next episode she'll start having 'visions' about the latest missing kid. She's just utterly bizarre & in the real world would have been escorted of the premises the first time she lit a candle. Also, Episode 2 introduced us to Caan's current love interest. Or rather, didn't introduce us to her. She was just there in the first scene, with absolutely no explanation as to who she was. It's only much later, when she & Caan have an argument (in a full elevator) about his, ahem, 'ability' to father a child, that we the audience realises she's his new squeeze. It's like they just forgot to put her intro scene in the final edit. Not to worry though, she was gone by the end of the episode… ![]() It's rubbish. I'd be amazed if it did full season. ![]() |
