Outstanding.

So basically at CEDIA just about all the big boys and who's who of the CE world have rolled out BD hardware at varying price points.

Excellent.

u know its amazong how many companies - and now high end AV competitors , are joinning BD. Just like paramount backed off of bluray and supproted hd dvd, it would be sad if a current BD player manufacturer backed out and decided not to build any bluray players... that would tell some story on their stance with the format war at any given point...

HOWEVER, with so many companies including maraznts and denon that have officially chosen bluray, it almsot makes you believe BluRay is the future and this format war is not really a war..meaning the victor is already decided.

The links didnt work.

I think you have to make a link when youre not actually signed on that site. But good to know another company is on board.

Hey, is there a comparative list anywhere that shows the amount of manufacturers world wide, who are now producing BD players against the HD-DVD player makers?

I believe HD-DVD only has Onkyo,Toshiba and Venture at the moment making players.

Not surprising. Marantz’s parent company also owns the Denon brand.

I think J6P will now realize that BD is not a Sony product. It's the BDA and the support is big.

Of course the sites that shill for Toshiba/MS/HD-DVD will say that those expensive players won't sell millions; and it's not supposed to. But you know how they are. We just need these CEs to announce a firm launch date and for the studios to commit to Profile 1.1/2.0 discs right now.

I'm sure he does deep down, but remember what forum he's on and what forum he moderates for.

'Nuff said.

I don't understand how an HD-DVD fan can look at the massively lopsided support and feel confident about their format's future.
