Default Batman Begins and Sin City to BD...YES!

2 movies I really love and I rank as a "must have" on BD.

Good release yes, but it won't even hinder one Transformer sale.

Gotta disagree there... Transformers attracts a MUCH wider audience. Kids will be all over Transformers, but not so much Sin City.

I also am not a fan of Sin City really and won't be getting it on BD.

Me too. I feel there has been a real lull in the BD release department. The XMas shopping season will soon be upon us.

Hehehe, yeah well Jessica Alba is hot, but I'm not really a Robert Rodriguez or even Quentin Tarantino fan.... all those movies are overly violent to me. I know I'm in the minority though and I'm glad the movies are coming to BD because it will help sales a lot.

Kids will be all over Disney. Teenagers with no job and a dvd player in their room, will be all over DVD.

Adult male's should be all about Jessica Alba half naked in Blu.

Well if you look at the sales chart who knows? A simultaneous release same as Transformers might just steal the top-seller chart away from Transformers anyhow. Just look at how the "300" sales are? These are top notch movies that many Bluray owners will buy. Transformers will probably do fantastic...compared to other HD-DVD releases...but they still dont have the customer base that Bluray has.

Guys let's just face it - we won't have any single movie to face Transformers with. But it's only one movie, I don't think it'll hurt much.

Within 3 weeks of Transformers release, we get the 2 Hostel movies, Meet the Robinsons, the Spider-Man movies, Cars, Pixar Short Films Colletion and Ratatouille - combined sales of those should easily crush the sales for Transformers and any other releases on HD-DVD.

I won't even mention the two weeks before Oct.16 (Transformers release date).

This is true but, well...Transformers is a 300 million dollar day and date release and a surefire hi-def go to movie. An 80 million grossing catalog title just ain't going to beat that. Overall they still might win the week, but I've little doubt TF will be HD-DVD's one time to bask in the number 1 spot.
