Looks like they're pulling them from stores to promote the cut International release.

So they are pulling Part II, but not Part I. I wonder if that means the cut International version will use most of its material from Part II.

Or just keep the actions scenes and leave out most of the drama. You know, the parts that actually matter.

Geez, I recently ordered it with the forever delayed Final Fantasy VII : Advent Children Complete korean steelbook. Hope I still get it in time.

According to everyone I know who caught the international cut theatrically here in the UK, it's action-packed - so I would take it as read that said cut is mostly part 2.

I have both Blus, but missed my chance to see the theatrical "cut", and remain torn over it - the first time in over fifteen years I won't have seen a new Woo theatrically, regardless of the "cut" issue. Worse still, the UK distributor actually spent decent money marketing it and got the best print reviews he's had in YEARS. Depressing, as it proves the decision to edit to be "correct".

Well, it looks like I am getting Red Cliff II now instead of waiting till the holidays at the end of the year. That really sucks that they are doing that.

Ok, I just ordered it from DDDhouse. They have already pulled the movie off of Blu-Asia but it is still on yesasia.

Blu-Asia still has the bundle of parts 1 and 2 up for sale. My girlfriend is supposed to be getting that for my birthday in a couple of weeks. I hope she has already placed the order.

Ah, you are correct. They just don't have the individual release of Red Cliff II anymore on blu-asia.

Odd. Red Cliff 2 was most definitely not on their site just a bit ago. I imagine they are just going to sell off their remaining stock and wait for Mei Ah to make it available again.

Now if only part one would get pulled and re released without the watermark.

I was holding off but if the blu is really going away, I guess this is the time to get it. Shipping was a tad steep ($8) but it's still cheaper than other sites, so I shouldn't be complaining.

Thanks for the heads up! Just placed an order at DDDHouse for both movies. Hopefully it goes through...it's unfortunate that a whole movie will basically be cut for the one single international release.

I'm glad I got mine as well. They're definitely amazing films. Reference material on Bluray as well. The A/V quality is amazing.
