I was cooking while this was revealed and thought it was something totally different. Now that I’ve properly digested the footage I’ll be giving it a shot. Refreshing to see such a colorful palette.

I played the first two levels, having a good time with it. The energy of the game makes me want to go back and finish Sunset Overdrive.

I also tried to “jump in” with cloud streaming, as expected it was not easy. Still managed to get the timing right but with at least a 1/2 second delay it was not consistent.

I could never get into Sunset Overdrive. I tried about a dozen times but it just never clicked.

Ya, there doesn't seem to be a lot of in-between for Sunset Overdrive.
At the time it reminded me of JSR/F and Lollipop Chainsaw, it's been a long time since I played it and I was way too busy to finish games back when it was released. I feel like giving it another go, maybe on PC for higher fps. Seems like a game that should get optimized for Series X|S, but I suppose that would require SIE and Xbox to cooperate, unlikely these days.

Finished my first play through this weekend, it was really fun. I may go through again to get a few things that I couldn't the first time through, but I don't think I have enough rhythm to complete all of the challenges and achievements.

Hi-Fi Rush – Arcade Challenge! Update! Announced

Tango Gameworks revealed their hit game Hi-Fi Rush will be getting new content next month, with the Arcade Challenge! Update! This update will include a variety of new content, including two new game modes: BMP RUSH! and Power Up! Tower Up!, featuring new music as well as a grab bag of new player customizations and Special Attacks. The Arcade Challenge! Update! will be coming on July 5, free for all players who already own the game. Hi-Fi Rush is available now on Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The latest update is available today and includes free in-game content as well as several bug fixes.

Just posted it in the Redfall thread, didn't see yours yet. Sadly it's the way the industry is propped up now. 1 or 2 "failures" and you're done.

We're living in the second gaming industry crash. Absolutely no one is safe; no matter how big your parent company is or how good your games are, if you're not selling 10+ million copies you're expendable.

I wonder if any personnel (aside from those at Roundhouse) will get shuffled into new positions? Xbox could really use a presence in Japan, maybe Tango Gameworks just wasn’t the same after Shinji Mikami left.

This right here. All the big gaming companies just want to chase that live service/mobile games money. Us core gamers don’t make them enough money, any longer.
