Did anybody else catch this series on BBC4? I thought it was one of the best shows of the past year. It's sort of a gentle comedy but the leads are excellent, and I honestly looked forward to watching it each week. Looking forward to the next series.

Yes, series 2 will be broadcast in the autumn.

Series 2 is starting 29th October on BBC4, really looking forward to this.

Detectorists will return for its third and final series. Six episodes to be filmed in the summer and broadcast at the end of 2017.

I had never heard of this show, but I did know of the two leads. I just watched the first two series on Netflix and loved it. Very funny at unexpected times. Glad to see it is coming back for another series.

the show is over forever since they said it would end this year. I liked the supporting cast but it 4 yars they barely id anything with the majority of the club with i felt like exploring a bit. still a great show just wishing there was more of it.

So glad we could find this one on DVD! There are so many shows we'd love to be able to get on DVD/BD/4k! The one we're really wanting on DVD is Derry Girls!

Anyone else pickup the Acorn Blu-rays of these? They are 23.976 FPS which is incorrect as its a 25fps show, but the quality of the BDs is pretty good and the best option for fans of the show.

It appears like many Acorn ones, they are burnt BDRs.
