I was going to ask what movie was supposed to be the "good" one. It's debatable if any of these should be considered "great" in my opinion. Fifth Element and Starship Troopers are definitely fun movies, but great? Really? Haven't seen Gattaca, but gives off the same vibe to me as Johnny Mnemonic.

Gattaca is absolutely a great film, and I'd say ahead of it's time for the idea in it. It's not really like the others at all in terms of its tone. It's more of a futuristic drama. The film was actually used for a discussion topic in one of my sociology courses at University, where they also screened it as well.

Fifth Element, Starship Troopers and Gattaca are all five star movies for me, all for very different reasons. Johnny Mnemonic is one of those movies that people are either meh about or they think it's criminally underrated and ahead of its time. I'm with the former. But I will say it is PEAK Keanu. So if that's your thing then, here ya go.

But seriously... if you haven't seen Gattaca, you should.

Anyhoo. I'm buying this because it's $1.25 a film and I will rock a DVD all day.

In all seriousness, I bought tons of $.25 DVDs from pawn shops pre-COVID (I found their selections all dwindled after that). I still have a lot of DVDs. They look good upscaled on the BD player.
