Default Blu-ray ARMY

well... what use do we have here growing big in knowledge about a format war knowing blu-ray its better and not going out there and thell people what to buy ?

In the Army they get you prepared to fight (a true military guy its not the one who joins but the one who fights)

A true believer of something its not the one which is among people who believes the same, but that shows everyone what he believes.

That being said go grab your ARMY weapons (blu-ray facts) and (like ID4) fight for the human kind (Blu owners) and celebrate the independece (HD-DUD's death) day

An ARMY of Blu... uncle Sam is looking for you Go Blu...

All Good things comes to those who waits, perhaps nothing is ever ready.

Do you remember how long untill DTS was introduced, or the progressive scan thing on the DVD, or the Dual Layer (first was both sides)

Every format evolves (like a Gremlin) and even do the competitor is Finished (both in their specs and doomed by Blu) we keep on developing and raising higher standards (who knows) sky is the limit, meanwhile lets join the Blu ARMY, shall we Go Blu...

I think it says something that Blu-ray without complete specs is a far superior experience in terms of quality than HD-DVD full spec lol

i would have to say no on this one... i used to be a hddvd owner... the HDi stuff was amazing and was the far superior experience. i'm just waiting for bdj to be finished and hoping the ps3 will be 1.1 compatible to have the same superior experience

Just out of curiousity, why do you say you're a Blu-ray convert and then have a history of postings that state that HD-DVD is superior? Try to be even more subtle if you want to "pass".

i know it's a little inconsistency, but you can't doubt the numbers... more people have went with bluray. even though i have had a better overall movie experience with hddvd. it just looks like by numbers alone bluray is going to win it. but like i said hopefully when 1.1 is finally done with they can just do a firmware to the ps3 and it will be compatible and i'll be able to have the same movie exprience with bluray as i did hddvd. i love the In Movie Experience. it just adds that more depth to movies that i find fascinating

Great that you bring that up... How many eyes you have, 4, 6 maybe more, who knows. As for me, i only have 2 and the main focus its the movie and reason for HD its not about PIP, if it was for that ill buy 2 blu-rays, but its about the MOVIE itself the details, the sharpness, the crisper images and Sounds without compression (more bandwith) thats what a Blu ARMY soldier does, go outside and tell others the Main Facts (not HDi, or PIP) Go Blu...

uhh i've seen movies on both formats... you can rattle off number facts and everything but in all honesty they both look and sound the same to me, which is really really awesome

How about joining them and talking to those that are curious and need a little extra push to be convinced?

if you see them on a 720p or 1080i with the sound of the TV of course it will be the same but if you have all the full HD features as 1080p, Uncompressed 5.1 (future 11.2) like Yamaha then you wouldnt be saying that, Trust me

Go Blu...

He does have a point, some people like those extra features like PIP and etc. HDi is nowhere NEAR as powerful as BD-J, but until 1.1 we won't see the "advanced" features like PIP on BD. I personally don't give a crap about those type of features, but they also can only be a benefit to Blu-ray. We all know that HD-DVD is inferior to BD, but after 1.1 is commonplace, there will truly be no reason to be an HD-DVD owner.

Don't we need the Marines to go in first, get everything taken care of, and then the Army appears and gets all the Credit? That according to my best friend who is in Iraq on his third tour for the Marines.

nope was watching hddvds and am watching blurays on a 65" panasonic 1080p plasma screen i believe the model number was th-65px600u or something like that since last year. using my onkyo sr605s in all it's 7.1 glory... so i know what it is and what it isn't. and in all honesty all movies both formats have their ups and downs... they both look just about perfect to me though.
i told ya the only reason i switched was the sheer numbers of bluray has been selling

I agree. He does have a point, in the sense that HD-DVD is one up on that. So, even though I don't care for extra stuff either, it will be nice to one up them on that too.

They won't have any advantage over blu once 1.1 is common. (if you consider HDi an advantage--i don't and the sales numbers don't suggest so)

well at least in vietnam it was the airborne rangers that got all the hard dirty jobs... the ones where you would be out on a mission months on end just to kill a few people

Actually the Air Force blows everything up first, softens them up; so to say and then we send in the infantry.
