Audio 7.1 vs the Well Go Atmos, and audio 5dB down (dialnorm I guess), but same graph.
I'll update when I have subs sorted, but both US and German are 23.976 so should be simple. Code:

OK, subtitles: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yQ5...usp=share_link
Not that the transfer looks like it is the original Korean source, where the on screen cards are all Korean, not English, not like the Well Go (eg the text prior to the start, movie title), so subs cover those also. For Atmos, it is a delay of -13879ms (so negative in tsmuxer/mkvtoolnix). Here is what I mean on the 5db down: ![]() |

OK I think I have it. I can not explain it, but it is like the Well Go one is actually 24p not 23.976, so if you convert the HEVC to 24p, and put a delay of -13865 (adjusted for 23.976 to 24 delay) on the audio and chapters
![]() ![]() Here is an updated sub with that -13865 delay https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yQ5...usp=share_link |

I haven’t done this before but I did convert the 23.976 FPS 5.1 of Dario Argento’s Opera in Audacity to have it fit for 24 FPS video and added the delay to the 5.1 in there as well. Lots more effort for the same thing. But your method, Mobe, is great for Atmos and bigger multichannel tracks which might be too big for Audacity etc. You check the delay timing by comparing the two video rips in a player like VLC, right? |

I just used the old delay and recalced though. Maybe it is slightly off but I do find it problematic looking at that data once it is in an mkv with frame rate or stretch delays. So the info displayed may be wrong, referring to the original. But I'll try again if wrong. I will try it on another computer though (not a remote session). But this one is just so left field I can't say if anything other than trial and error will work. I mean the only way I got this to work went against what the metadata said. I had to treat the Atmos audio and subtitles as being 24p. That isn't what the metadata said, so even looking at frame numbers, timestamps, just leaves me with no faith in them... They are always suspect in the best of times due to how the streams work, key frames etc. The alternative is just using the 7.1. I've posted a 23.976 subtitle stream for that too https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kXu...usp=share_link |

OK my best frame accurate offset is -13875ms. The first frame of image after the title card is 3667 on the BD and 3334 on the 24, so 333 frames or 13875ms as 24p. Audio looks good on that. I will need to test on the zidoo though - unless someone beats me to it..

Might just take it for that price instead of waiting months for a sale on Amazon. I believe Plaion raised the price a bit since their Korean films seem to sell well. Decision to Leave has already sold out one of the cover variants during pre-order. Let’s just hope that the quality is good and they retained the Korean titles and the great amount of on-screen text. If they do, I’ll cancel and stick with the Mubi. |

BTW, I just checked the remux and subs on the Zidoo and it looked and sounded perfect. So you have to ignore everything you see in metadata, and take it on faith the Atmos track for a 23.976 disc is for 24p. Just unbelievable. I still cannot grasp what the situation is here. But this works. I know this metadata jiggery is possible in an mkv, but I didn't think discs worked the same way. |

I received both the Well Go BD and Plaion 4K today.
Before attempting a remux I gave the film a go to see if it’s any good and worth the effort. I took the BD for the Atmos and wasn’t disappointed in both video and audio. The Atmos is fantastic and worth the price. Loud and heavy at times - no Blade Runner 2049 of course but along the lines of what a really well-mixed Hollywood blockbuster would deliver. Well Go encoded it at a surprisingly high bitrate. I checked it here and there and during the loud moments they pushed it to 7 / 7.5 Mbps. LFE didn’t sound neutered to my ears. PQ is solid, BD-50 with nothing egregious. Some banding here and there but considering the length it’s okay. When comparing (select moments) with the DV 4K, these issues are eliminated and things like camera noise and color balances greatly enhanced. It seems like Plaion did a great job here. The 7.1 sounds perfectly fine but I think I felt a little extra more punch on the Well Go Atmos. Also, notably, Well-Go altered text cards and credits by changing the font and translating them into English. This is akin to what the German labels usually do, which I hate. I also hated it here. It looks cheap. The font is something they probably found in the standard font kit in Word, resembling what Michael Bay might have taken in the early 2000s. Funnily, the German release left the master as is. Text is all Korean. This bodes well for Plaion’s forthcoming Decision to Leave. In the end, the best of both worlds would be fantastic to have in a definitive package. |
