So why does Shout have terrible QC with scratched discs while Universal does not? Is it because Shout selects some kind of lower tier package where anything goes?

Good question. I assume they're all getting their stuff out of Vantiva's Guadalajara plant anyway.

Heck no. I like this movie quite a bit even its 'mere' theatrical form and couldn't give a shit about an Atmos remix.

Odd that Paramount would've licensed it out as it was quite the money spinner for them, but no matter. Glad we're getting a UHD.

I'm not sure if major studios use the Mexican plant that Criterion, Shout, Kino, and others use that is the origin of these scratched disc issues. Since they deal in a much larger volume as well, I imagine they must have a different plant elsewhere that they work with.

It was and the entire ending was refilmed from the ground up. Would make a wonderful extra feature but I seriously doubt Scream could get their hands on it. Their specialty is new interviews and hand me down extras. I'd just be happy with the unrated edition in 4K with Dolby Atmos and Vision.

I have a bad feeling this will be the inverse of Shout’s DAWN OF THE DEAD, with both cuts on Blu-ray but only the theatrical cut on 4K. I desperately hope I’m wrong.
