I loved it. It started what was soon to become a hilarious scene and added to it if you forgot there was a baby on board throughout scene when the baby started crying again.

I gotta say, I really loved the ending to this film. I'm a sucker for unexpected musical choices, but that banger really slotted the last five minutes in for me.

This is actually the only one of Ostlund's films I've ended up liking. Maybe that makes me a philistine, which I'm okay with, haha.

Dickinson continues to prove he's the up-and-comer to watch and not Chalamet, but he's been showing that since Beach Rats and the limited series Trust.

P.S. No idea why it needed to win the Palme d'Or, though.

I found it to be extreme at times with the gross elements, but a thought provoking and hilarious film. The fact the few others in the theater remained quiet and didn't react, made it even funnier somehow.
I would have left him to his own devices, hate walk outs.

I saw this last night. There were moments of brilliance but over all it didn't quite work for me. Some parts just carry on too long making for a frustrating experience. The dinner scene at the beginning especially.

The boat was the best part and I really enjoyed all the scenes getting to know the characters. Especially the older Russion lady demanding all the staff go for a swim. Stuff like that and the "sails" lady were a lot of fun. I REALLY enjoyed the storm scenes and just loved how it all unfolded.

Unfortunately Woody Harrelson went full Woody and the storm dragged on and he started to irritate me. I can take Woody in small doses but even here it was a bit too much.

The whole thing fell apart on the island. It had a lot of opportunity and I loved the tables turned moment but then it kinda just meanders all over the place for a while before coming to the abrupt end. I liked the ending, but I wish it had just ended with the scene on the beach and not the guy running.

This is the first movie I have seen from this director so not sure if this is his usual style. I liked it enough to seek out Force Majeure which I will be watching tonight.

Finally got a chance to watch this today and absolutely loved it!

I went in completely blind and am over the moon excited to find out that the writer/director has 2 more highly regarded films that I haven't seen.

Incidentally, the 4K presentation was awesome in the theater in which I saw this.

I liked the movie and ultimately I'm not sorry I watched it, but...

I actually went with "Not Recommended" only because to me it seemed like the movie ended just as it was about to start getting really good. If there's a Part II then I would recommend it. If not you're probably better off watching The Beach.

Saw it a second time tonight because Ruben Östlund was in town doing a special conversation and found so much of the satire to be even funnier the second time (and *THAT* scene had the audience simultaneously on the floor from hard laughter and running out of the auditorium to avoid live reenactments).

Östlund also revealed the general premise for his next movie, which sounds pretty hilarious and in a tangent similar to "Triangle of Sadness": pandemonium erupts aboard an overnight flight from the U.S. to another country as the plane's entertainment systems and WiFi shuts down.

If he's smart, hopefully he'll stick to that one idea and make it to the point unlike this.

Pretty good but the last third dragged without a purpose a bit... And then abrupt ending. Could have easily been half an hour shorter.

7/10 worth the blu
