I still have the 1997 DVD release in a snap case and to my knowledge that's the first and only release on home video in the States until now.

Will be interesting to rewatch this in a 4K restoration. Rented the VHS from Blockbuster back in the day, remember it was over the top fun.

I first watched this on one of the movie channels back in the early 2000's I believe and was surprised how much I liked it. It's always a treat when one surprises you.

Really fun Christmas Eve set thriller! Been looking forward to this. I was one of the few who saw this at the theatre opening weekend.

Was this an HBO title? If so hopefully that means we'll finally be getting their back catalog on blu ray.

The DVD was distributed by HBO as Rysher Entertainment had a distribution deal with them baack then. This title is currently with Paramount.

Ugh bummer. That's the second title Kino has released this year that was with HBO at one point but is now with another company. I want Ricochet (1991) on blu ray damn it!

Also, speaking of Ray Liotta, where is the blu ray for Unlawful Entry stateside already?

I'm not sure if HBO still owns that one as they don't list it in their catalog, but it is available to stream on Cinemax which is owned by HBO. Even WB doesn't list it as one of their movies.

About 12 months ago there were 4 Ray Liotta films I wanted. Turbulence, No Escape, Narc, and Unlawful Entry. No Escape came out, now Turbulence. Kino confirmed a label is releasing Narc soon enough, so that leaves Unlawful Entry. I think that's still with WB, but who knows.

I don't really care who has Narc but if I would prefer Arrow over Shout. Is Criterion a possibility?
