Adult Swim’s Toonami helped create the FLCL Anime sequels FLCL Progressive and FLCL Alternative. On DVD the Seasons are sold separately but on Blu-ray they are released together.

The Oblongs on DVD

There was a DVD Boxset called Adult Swim In A Box which has a bunch of Seasons of various Adult Swim shows plus a bunch of Pilot episodes. There was an Australian version which had different content on it called Adult Swim Meat Tray Collection.

Samurai Jack I don’t know if you want to count Seasons 1-4 for being Cartoon Network Seasons but can definitely count Season 5.

The Boondocks

There is Off The Air on DVD but I am not 100% certain how legit they are

Some acquired titles include Space Dandy, Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex and Big O II which Adult Swim helped fund.

Good catches!

I can't find any evidence of Off The Air getting any legit releases.

I could list the Toonami/anime stuff, it'd technically fit, but I feel that stuff might be a better fit for the anime subforum? I'm sure people are on top of that stuff already.

Went off what Wikipedia listed as original and not acquired/syndicated, and Oblongs is syndicated, though I don't know how I missed Jack and the Boondocks. Will add!

Oblongs is similar to Home Movies as to how it technically began on another channel but failed on that channel so was cancelled for that channel but then Adult Swim took over it and finished the series. Could even add Mission Hill to the list for the same reason. Back when Adult Swim began it basically started off as a way to give a bunch of cancelled series that couldn’t even finish a single season a 2nd chance and these 3 series are great examples of that.

With FLCL Progressive and Alternative, those are Toonami Original Series. Big O II was a Co-Production with Cartoon Network since the 1st Season bombed in Japan but Sunrise had planned on a Season 2 and Adult Swim made it happen because of how well it did for Toonami. So basically Season 2 wouldn’t have even existed without Adult Swim stepping in.

It might help if Sillydillo defines adult swim shows. I get the impression that it’s intended to be shows produced by Williams Street.

It’s not a show, but the TV special Freaknik: The Musical had a DVD release.

I just went off of what Wikipedia listed as adult swim original programming and not acquired/syndicated, but it seems like that might not be entirely accurate?

Wikipedia lists for tv aren’t usually well-defined. Since this is your list, you can just pick what you mean by adult swim shows.

Do you want shows made for and “by” adult swim? Do you want shows that premiered on adult swim? Do you want shows that have had episodes that premiered on adult swim? What about Toonami shows? For example, I think Samurai Jack season 5 aired on Toonami.

I preferably don't want this to just be 'my' list, or something representative of my subjective preferences, moreso an organized list that can come in handy for others here who collect stuff like this.
That said, Adult Swim's a bit out of my area of expertise, as such I'm not sure if I'd be the best judge of what 'belongs' on this list. That said, my personal intention here is moreso to include programming made by/for Adult Swim. or at least otherwise noteworthy for being an Adult Swim show, whilst not including stuff they just happen to have the rights to at the time (like the Fox sitcoms or acquired Toonami programming)

Ok so the majority of content created both for & by adult swim will be produced by Williams Street. Home Movies is an outlier because adult swim picked it up and ordered more seasons after it was cancelled by UPN. I think you've got almost all of these covered.

Then there are the syndicated shows. In some cases, adult swim aired episodes that had not aired before. I know that was the case for the Oblongs, the Ripping Friends, Mission Hill, Baby Blues, and God the Devil and Bob - there could be more, though. MOONPHASE already mentioned the Oblongs and Mission Hill, but God the Devil and Bob had a complete series R1 DVD release and the Ripping Friends had a complete R4 DVD release. I'd like to see the full list of syndicated shows included, but I understand the list would get pretty cumbersome.

adult swim's Toonami also had some shows produced by Williams Street. MOONPHASE already mentioned Samurai Jack, FLCL Progressive, and FLCL Alternative. I'm not too familiar with current Toonami so someone else might be able to chime in on others. Later episodes of Beware the Batman premiered on adult swim's Toonami, but those were produced by WB.

Also, not sure it's worth mentioning this, but I have most of the R4 adult swim DVD releases except for Moral Orel and they're all PAL video.

Yeah I think my main thing is I don't want it to become like, an indiscriminately long list of every show that's ever aired on Adult Swim, though I suppose the distinction between an 'adult swim original' might be a bit more vague and up in the air than with CN.
In both that thread and this one I've mostly included the more 'notable' ones - stuff that's well-known as being a show from that network despite being made by another production company, for CN that might be stuff like Total Drama and Johnny Test, for AS that might be stuff like Home Movies or The Boondocks - as well as stuff that's been suggested to me by folks like MOONPHASE.
Should I make a more comprehensive list of home media for their syndicated libraries? Would that be something people'd like to see?

If you have any of the more recent R4 releases, would you mind double-checking them? I own the majority of the Cartoon Network ones and they switched from PAL to NTSC around 2016.

I remember the Cartoon Network thread had the same issue! You created another section for related shows. I'm not advocating for that distinction here, though - just reminiscing!

I've thought about posting an adult swim home media thread for awhile, but I could never organize it right. Now I just keep personal lists of animated shows on home media and I'm working on an online database to store everything.

For R4 releases I have Grab Bag (Assy McGee, Minoriteam, Titan Maximum, Xavier Renegade Angel), Meat Tray (12 oz. Mouse, Lucy Daughter of the Devil, Tom Goes to the Mayor), the Space Ghost All Talk collection, and the Ripping Friends and they're all PAL. I don't know about the individual releases though. I also have the German Lucy Daughter of the Devil set and it has burnt in subtitles, but only during songs. Strange, huh?

Harvey Birdman had a special called Attorney General, it was broadcast on their website but I haven't seen any mention of a disc release.

Venture Bros have a special coming, Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart. Probably later this year. Should get a disc release.

Re: Harvey Birdman, I'm only listing stuff that has an official disc release. Don't believe the Attorney General special has one of any kind.

Will add the Venture Bros film when the disc release is announced.

Ripping Friends mostly aired in full on Fox Kids except for a couple episodes that couldn’t air at the time because it was right after 9/11 and Fox Kids had some Censorship on the episodes they did air which was later broadcast Uncut on Adult Swim.

So in a way it is more of a Fox Kids show compared to like the other Cancelled shows from other networks I mentioned. It’s just Adult Swim aired it better.

Total Drama and Johnny Test are more Teletoon series. Plus Johnny Test was on Kids WB for U.S. long before Cartoon Network’s airing of it.

It depends on how we define adult swim shows. I consider shows created by and for adult swim (Williams Street) to be adult swim shows, but I understand it depends on the person. Mission Hill, Oblongs, Ripping Friends, and God the Devil and Bob were all syndicated shows just like Family Guy or King of the Hill.

That may be true, but there are CN logos on the covers for those releases, Total Drama Island was actually released by Warner with the same CN branding as their own shows, I don't think considering them 'CN shows' or shows most people would associate with Cartoon Network is that much of a stretch

Interesting oddity I just noticed while lurking on eBay: there now exist bootleg copies of the Aqua Teen Baffler Meal set where they... compressed the set to 10 discs and photoshopped the cover to reflect this? How bizarre:
