I was hoping to see it up for some awards at the MTV Movie Awards but it either got ignored or just came out too late to be eligible this year. They have awards for break out star (Chloe Moritz) and best fight (Hit-Girl vs Frank's boys) U might see it nominated next year I guess.

The good news, I got a free movie ticket when I saw Ironman 2. The bad news, Kick-ass isnt playing at my local regal theaters any more.

They had a nomination this year fo Zac Effron for 17 again, which was about the same time of release

Kick Ass is a great comic book movie, and after seeing Iron Man 2, it looks even better by comparison.

Look forward to the sequel.

Rated it 3 Stars. Never read the comic, so idk what the differences were (if any?), but it was an entertaining flick.

The first time in a looooong time that I haven't been annoyed by a Nic Cage performance. They were also lucky to land Mark Strong as the baddie. His character was your obligatory one-dimensional villain, but anyone of lesser talent would've made the role far less enjoyable to watch.

I took a chance(blind buy) on this due to all I've read about it on this site and the $12.99 Amazon price helped too. I didn't really know what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised. I loved it!

I too love Kick Ass. Whenever we have guests over, it's always the first BD I suggest. It's probably our most watched disc.

Random but a friend of mine sent me a message last night praising this as he finally got around to watching it. I really liked it and picked up the BD initially.

Rewatched this today.....

Damn, this is honestly the best Marvel adaptions*, let alone one of the best CBMs of all time. Just everything is perfect.

*and yes, the original comic was released via their imprint Icon Comics so it counts as an adaption. So does Kingsman actually.
