You have a PS3 you don't need Squeezbox. You can use it the same way but the bonus is you won't need an additional DAC using your PS3. Just download and install PS3 Media server and CCCP codec pack and your done.

If you are interested in vinyl though I just got my P1 and Fono Mini and I'm telling you flat out that for the price the performance is phenomenal.

Nope. Using a digital source means that you lose a certain je ne sais quoi; a tube amp can't restore that...

If you want an analogue sound experience, you need an analogue source.

It's decent, Music Hall is by Roy Hall who works with and sources his turntables from Pro-Ject, so you would see similar quality

Whole thing, Cambridge Audio does the same thing for their TT50, couple of other companies as well.

You can see the similarities, this is CA's TT50:

From AVguide.com:

Quote:
Music Hall’s MMF‑2.2 turntable is a badge‑engineered version of Sumiko’s Pro‑Ject Xpression III, both originating from Pro‑Ject’s plant in the Czech Republic. Despite differences in materials, cosmetics, and pickups, the basic turntables are identical, their dust covers, felt mats, wall‑wart power supplies, motors, motor suspensions, and belts interchangeable (the MMF’s belt even has “Pro‑Ject” imprinted on it). The MMF’s platter is metal alloy, the Xpression’s acrylic; the gimbal arms are identical except that the MMF’s is metal alloy while the Xpression’s has a carbon‑fiber tube.

In my personal opinion, it's the same thing but you're paying 200.00 more for the Pro-Ject emblem.

Edit> And I think the Sumiko cartridge is gone, friend bought an Xpression last week and it had a stock Ortofon 2M Red.

Glad to hear another person is getting in to the vinyl habit!

FWIW, I buy nearly all my vinyl from Acoustic Sounds. They have great customer service.
