I was concerned since the last western Russell Crowe was in sucked real bad... Quick and the Dead. It looks like this might be pretty good.

This is a definite buy on Blu-Ray. Does anyone know who has the rights to the original, I wouldn't mind getting it either?

wow what a great movie. Bale and Crowe work very well together. The acting in this movie is A+ all around, great cast.

However, im a bit worried, but we went at 11:25 PM this evening and there were 6 people in the theater...i know its late, but for opening night i thought this was odd. We also had to sit in the "directors hall" which is an extra 2 bucks a ticket so im sure that had an effect too. If this movie doesnt do well it will be a shame, such a great movie. Id highly recommend it.

So, back on topic, I saw the movie this afternoon and it was really good. There's a nice balance of drama with some humor sprinkled in. There's a fairly effective story and a decent pacing to the film. And it's Lionsgate, which is Blu-ray exclusive.

Are you willing to say its the best lionsgate film thus far?

I was thinking it would be good I mean, Crowe and Bale are in it, can't go wrong with two big namers.

Loved this movie. Best western I have seen in a long time. I hope it sparks more good westerns. Crowe was good but I think this was the best perfomance I've ever seen Bale give.

I will probably see this again at the theaters. A deffinate buy for me on BD!
