Now I was really shocked by this news, it looks like Warner is going to come back with 3D, but slowly. 'Filme B' website recently updated their website with the 3D releases, and a shocking confirmation has come. Minecraft will be in 3D, confirmed by the press this week. Warner updated their release schedule, And they put the Minecraft movie that will be out in theaters in 2025 in 3D. This site is the same one that confirmed the release of Scream 6 in 3D, And they are from the press, And this update came along with the confirmation that Meg 2 will be released in 3D here in Brazil (this information on the website).

This post is 1 and a half year old, it hasn't been officially confirmed yet if "A Minecraft movie" will be in 3D. As of now both promos (including posters and teaser trailers) only says IMAX, haven't seen anything from RealD yet. Let's wait and see.

This now has 1 stereoscopic credit on imdb. It seems this is getting a 3D release.

Ok, if this is true, it would be a crime not release this on a Blu-ray 3D disc later. Guess i heard Warner is at least very unlikely for sublicencing their titles with a very small chance. Never say never! This would be the ideal time to do a MEG 2 + GodzillaKong + Minecraft 3D triple sometime in the future.

Warner licensed some of their titles to boutique labels, the problem is if they used the 3D version of Meg 2 as a tax write off making it impossible to be released, it would explain why it isn't on the AVP but the other ones are (Godzillaxkong 2, Aquaman 2...)

The Meg 2 is in no way a tax write-off, that isn't how it works. It was theatrically released in 3D and they made a healthy profit, they can't retroactively undo that.

made $116 million in China, domestically made $82 million, that accounts also for 2D (which is probably the bulk of the domestic income). the 3D print we don't know the actual numbers but it could very well be used as write off in north america. Those things are not made public so we wont know for a fact and just speculate.

This is from the writer/director of Napoleon Dynamite. I kind of see hints of his style of humor in the trailer, which surprisingly has my interest even though I only played the Minecraft demo years ago on PS4. This being in 3D would be potentially very good in theaters and hopefully on blu ray 3D.

It seems that the 3D conversion is over, which is strange, but this can be because the movie is mostly CGI. From what looks like the conversion lasted two months.

Here finally is definite proof a minecraft movie is getting released in 3d and has a 3d version though the curious thing is that it might not get an imax 3d release

Regal seems more reliable for 3D showtimes than Fandango. In the past, I went to check for a 3D showtime for a movie rumored to be in 3D and Fandango said it was in 3D, but the movie was never converted to 3D in the end.

Hopefully this stands to have 3D in it. That will probably get me into the theater. This is from the writer of Napoleon Dynamite, which I thought was funny.

I see it playing in IMAX and Dolby, but in 2D only. Sad, but then WB hasn't been supporting the format all that strongly lately.

Just got Standard IMAX Tickets, no IMAX 3D in Canada, but there is RealD 3D Showings so if the movie is good enough I'll see it in 3D

Well, maybe they will be doing 3D IMAX elsewhere, but around here, the showings are still only showing 2D IMAX.

If you live somewhere where it's showing in 3D IMAX, definitely consider yourself very lucky!
