Default Re-issuing DVD Steelbooks to Blu-ray

Not sure if this discussion has already started somewhere else, so I apologize if I'm repeating a previous thread or topic.

I'm just curious to know if any of the studios plan on re-issuing steelbooks on Blu-ray for previous titles that have already been released on DVD.

For example... THE DEPARTED, X-MEN and X2 are just three titles I own on DVD Steelbook, and would love to have them in Blu now. I'm actually quite surprised Fox didn't re-issue the X-MEN movies when they just recently released them onto Blu.

And come on Warners, I'm dying to see BATMAN BEGINS in a steelbook for Canada and the U.S.

Hey marty,

Departed has been issued in France however is region B and cannot be played on our normal players unfort. I beleive it can play on PS3 by skipping to chapter two though

Batman Begins is available with a two pack of the dark knight from germany

The Xmen have not been done yet, seen a few of the two steels you look for on the trading forums. Good luck

Hellboy II was in a double-feature DVD SteelBook with the first movie and was released in a Blu)ray SteelBook casing in Germany and France, so I think it's pretty common for older yet still famous movies to be released on Blu-ray in Steels.
