Default WalMart 160GB PS3 w/ Uncharted, Killzone2, LBP, Terminator S1 Blu Ray for $499

Like the Title says 160GB PS3 bundle for $500 ($520 at my Walmart) which includes:

- Uncharted PS3 game
- Killzone 2 PS3 game
- LittleBIGPlanet PS3 game
- PAIN PSN game voucher
- Terminator SCC Blu Ray S1 movie
- All standard accessories

Pic doesn't show the terminator Blu-Ray, but I did see it attached at the Walmart I go to in Edmonton, Alberta.

Note: If you don't like this deal or think it's bad, please don't give my HT Gallery a low rating. It's quite immature (mywhitenoise).

I think this is an excellent deal for people looking for a PS3...if i didn't have one already i would be all over this.

P.S. I think your setup looks great...nice and tidy...don't worry about your tv size...i remember few years back i use to play my 360 and my launch PS3 on a 26" Sony LCD but several months later bought a Sony 46" 1080p for my bedroom and few months back bought a 60" Pioneer Kuro Plasma for my family room and absolutely love it! Just have to be patient.

Haha thanks. I really enjoy it, one day I'll get a nice TV like you have...can't afford it right now though.

The last sale I posted the guy didn't think it was a good deal so he gave my Home theater gallery a low rating. Real dumb ass move. That's why I posted the note.

This deal and your last deal are very good. I realized later that they were Canadian prices, that was my mistake, and I'm sorry for sounding like an ass.

I rated your gallery low because aside from the front speakers, it's kind of weak. Don't be offended, I give most people with mediocre setups low ratings because everyone else gives them 10/10 (when really those ratings should be reserved for the people with over the top set ups like TheForce). I'm sure if I posted my gallery it would get a 10/10 too, when it really deserves a 5 or 7/10. I'll post pictures after I buy my house, my equipment is as follows...

TV - Samsung LN46A650
Blu-Ray - Gun Metal Grey PS3
Receiver - Denon AVR-988
Speakers - Polk CS1 (center), Polk Monitor 60s (front), Polk R300s (rear)
DVD - Pioneer Elite 48AV

That's fine I assumed that was the case when I saw your location.

Interesting that you've taken it upon yourself to right the wrongs in other people's opinions. Perhaps you should rate a setup based on what you actually think of it rather then how wrong you think someone else's rating is.
You are entitled to your opinion of my setup, calling it mediocre is fine (although the only mediocre equipment is the TV most people would agree).

I honestly believe yours deserves a 3, or 4/10. You're right, I gave it a 1/10 to correct everyone elses inflated score they gave you. You should be happy that so many people gave you a ridiculous score to begin with. I just don't understand how everyone who posts their set ups get s 4/5 or 5/5...how does that filter whose set up is actually unique and one of a kind over the mediocre ones?

You're using a different method for rating HT systems then most people do.

Basically you find the nicest HT out there and give it a 10/10 and compare everything else to that. This is a flawed method in that you can ALWAYS find a nicer HT then the one you're looking at. In this hobby, there's always ways to improve and thus there isn't a perfect home theater.

Most people here are looking for quality AS WELL AS value. The vast majority of people don't have the money to buy the fantastic systems we sometimes see, and an even bigger majority don't WANT to spend that kind of money.

It works the same way with cars. By your rating method, every single car priced under $100,000 should be rated as a 1/10 (low end car) because they can't even come close to comparing with the super high end multi-million dollar cars out there. This isn't a practical way of rating anything.

You are allowed to think my HT is a 3/10, however I'm very sure you're in a very small minority of people who think so. I have a very nice set of RTi8's, an Onkyo SR805, Polk Audio PSW505 sub, and a PS3. NONE of those things are considered low or even mid range equipment. In fact the only piece of equipment I own that is considered mediocre (in actuality "budget" is more appropriate) is my TV, and you're likely judging it based on it's size....however I'm in a very small room right now and a 26" TV is actually the perfect size for my seating position. Any larger and I'd be sitting too close.

How is my method of rating bad? Of course there's "always going to be something better"...but that's stupid logic. I don't go by that. I rate 10/10 for the ones with elite systems. It's like games, and movies...there's games and movies better than others, but that isn't going to stop me from rating others 10 out of 10. Your set up is crap, pure and simple.
You tell me, how is it that
https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...folderid=2051#
https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...&folderid=282#
and
https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...folderid=1781#

have the same ratings as
https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...folderid=1607#
and
https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...mber=crazyBLUE
(crazy has some pretty good gear, but he's living outside of his means, and it looks ridiculous...should be using his money on a bigger house instead.)

And exactly how small of a room do you live in? Because I'm still living with mom and pop for right now (hope to have my own house by
the end of the yaer)...but I still have a center and two surrounds.
Here's mine, this was taken last year. It looks a little different now, but I have a CS1 for the center, M60s in the front, and R300s for surrounds.
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v6...t=DSC02006.jpg

I would expect to get a real low rating for that, but everyone is extremely generous out here. If we all get 4's and 5's out of 5's...then what's to separate the best of the best, from the worst of the worst?

Ah the beauty of an opinion. I'm not going to argue with you about this, you thinking my setup is crap is fine (much better then yours I'd say but that's a moot point in this discussion). See what I did there? I understand that you're entitled to your own opinion and as such I also understand that other people are entitled to their own opinions which may differ from my own as well as yours.
For example, if I thought your setup was a 5/10 and I noticed that someone else gave it a 7/10, I wouldn't rate yours a 3/10 to try and even it out. By doing that you're skewing someone else's opinion simply because they don't agree with you. THAT'S what doesn't make sense about your rating style. It's not your mission to try and alter the opinion of another person.

Also, in the pics you showed, most people agree that Brain Sturgeon and THE_FORCE's setups are the best. If you look at the scores they're almost all 10/10 all the way down and their average of 10/10 reflects that. Now look at crazyBLUE's and Grevlin's (both of which are VERY nice as well, although not as extreme) ratings. Both have proportionally more scores less then 10/10 which reflects on their average (4.4 and 4.8). That's the nature of the rating system and it works perfectly so I'm not sure what you're trying to argue here ...the scores reflect perfectly which systems people think are nicer (obviously FORCE and Brain).
My setup also reflected how well the system works. Apart from your ridiculous score, I had 7 ratings at or below 7.5 and only 5 ratings of 10/10 out of 20. My overall score was approximately 8/10 which is very representative of a HT of that quality.
Like I explained before, and you so quickly glanced over, is that people don't give 10/10 solely for how expensive/striking a HT system is. This community is FAR from a high end HT site and the vast majority of us have modest setups that incorporate budgets into our equipment and our ratings reflect that.

My HT System is currently in a 12x14 room. Having a center and surrounds would be nice, but I am waiting until I get everything into a proper HT room before I make my purchase. Additionally, I use my HT room mostly for listening to music (and some gaming), for music I need only 2 speakers and no TV...which would make my setup perfect in every way.

And before I post this, you never did answer my question. If you only give 10/10 to the most elite systems, logically that means you only give 1/10 to the very worst of systems. You honestly think my system is in the worst system category? Much of my equipment is nicer then yours, and my setup is also much tidier then yours. I don't have some of the added equipment you have, but then again I don't need it all that much for what I use it for now do I?

Haha, your system is NO way better than mine. I have a 46" Samsung 4650, easily trumps your POS. My M60 speakers are comparable to your RTi8s (both are pretty average speakers, really nothing to brag about), obviously my center and rears are better than yours since you don't have any (I believe your room is bigger than mine, by the way). Our receivers are pretty much the same, I like the design better on mine, but based on functionality yours has no edge on mine. And like I said before, that picture is over a year old, that isn't recent. Stop whining that I gave you a 1/10, when it deserves a 3/10. Would you be happier if I went back and rerated it? It wouldn't make a difference, it's still a very mediocre set up.

What a fantastic retort, instead of discussing any valid points you stick to meaningless babble. I suppose it's safe to assume this debate is over.
