Default Frame rate glitch on Shout Factory discs (on 2 different players, Sony TV)?

I’m not sure if this is the best place for this thread. On two different players, but the same Sony 4K TV, I’ve noticed a handful of discs have this weird issue where the video’s frame-rate goes way down for a moment before returning to normal. It almost looks like the video is moving in slow motion. On some discs, this only happens once or twice, but I was just watching I Spit on Your Grave, and it happened persistently every 5-10 minutes. I think I’ve only seen this happen on Shout Factory discs aside from this one, which is from Ronin Flix, but has the same FBI Warning and menu template as Shout’s, which makes me wonder if they have the same authoring house. This isn’t just 4K discs. I’ve also seen it for standard BDs as well. One example was the remastered BD that came with the new 4K for Halloween II. It doesn’t happen in the same places on repeated viewings. I just wanted to see if anyone was familiar with this glitch and could at least identify the cause. I’m not 100% sure it’s the TV or discs fault.

I've had this happen before and it was the player that was at fault. Issue was fixed by a firmware update.

Try disabling motion flow and cinemotion on the TV and see if the issue persists.

Does this also happen with any of the Shout! Factory releases not authored in-house?
I know some releases (mostly anime like Neon Genesis Evangelion and Perfect Blue) were authored instead by MediaOCD, even if they are distributed by Shout! Factory.
