Default Where's the commentary?

Can't get the commentary to play on this disc. Every time I 'X' the commentary box, all it does is turn the subtitles on. If anyone has watched this with the commentary, how did you get it to work?

Thank you, much appreciated. For anyone else, after pressing audio on my remote, I had to put it on '4ENG-Digital Stereo' for the commentary to play. I have a Panasonic DMP-BDT210.

Wow, the bitrate on the current version is as bad as the Blade Runner Final Cut.

Nothing wrong with the PQ. What's lacking is the AQ, which is DD 5.1 @ 640 kbps.

Hi everyone, sorry to bump this but I am having an issue with The Aviator blu ray (which I wrote about it in the movie forum instead of the blu ray one!)

I recently got USA release of THE AVIATOR and I having troubles playing the extra features. Some of them get played (costume design or vfx documentary) but another pieces like Howard Shore's music get freezed and the disc can't play the title where it is on the disc. It gets freeze and returns to the menu.

Also I can't play this blu ray on my PS4. Is anyone else having this kind of problems? How can I solve them?

Thanks in advance!

I keep hoping you we'll see a proper UHD for the anniversary next year with lossless audio.

I'm not sure what the US rights situation is for the film.

It was a Miramax/Warners co-production.

The division of rights was truly confusing:

Quote:
Miramax Films and Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Miramax will handle U.S. theatrical distribution of Initial Entertainment Group's The Aviator, Martin Scorsese's epic Howard Hughes biopic... Warner Bros. Pictures and Miramax will retain their financial partnership agreement on the film, which is A Forward Pass Inc./ Initial Entertainment Group production. Warner Bros. Pictures will retain theatrical distribution in Canada and will distribute the film on home video/DVD, with Miramax controlling all U.S. television rights. In addition to the U.S., Miramax will distribute the film in the U.K., France, Italy and Germany, while Initial Entertainment Group will distribute "The Aviator" in the remaining territories around the globe.
https://movieweb.com/miramax-to-distribute-the-aviator/

The streaming version is credited to Miramax on Amazon. I think that's because streaming falls under "TV rights."

The fact that Warner's BD is OOP makes me think their US home video rights may have lapsed.

It’s one of my favorite Scorsese films so I’d definitely be open to importing it we didn’t get a US release.

IMDB says it was finished to a 2K DI, like many movies of that era.

IMDB isn't 100% accurate, but the radical color timing of the movie suggests that's true.

If so, I think it would make a UHD a bit less likely. It would either be an upscale, or Scorsese would need to oversee the rebuilding of the entire movie, from scratch.
