Default Panasonic Setup

Hi, I have all Panasonic components in my setup: TV -TH-50PZ700A, Home Theatre - SC-PT850W & Bluray - DMP-BD60.

Since the Home Theatre has no HDMI input I have set it up as follows: HDMI cable from Blu-Ray to TV, digital optical cable from TV to Home Theatre.

This works fine when watching TV, sattellite, etc. The problem I have is that when I watch a BluRay disc I get this intermittent buzzing noise throughout the movie that is extremely annoying.

So, my question is do I have it setup correctly? Some thoughts I have are to:
1) Connect the optical cable straight from the Blu-Ray to the Home Theatre and use RCA cables for TV audio.
2) Play with the Blu-Ray audio settings (PCM vs Bitrate, etc, not sure, I'm a novice with that stuff).
3) Get a new optical cable (although TV sound is fine through it).

Please help! Thanks!

I'd try #1

RCA's will be fine for T.V. viewing..... if that corrects the BD issue, then you should be all set.

You should be able to still use the HDMI but tell the BD player to send audio to your HT instead via the optical cable.

So to clarify I will have:

BD connected to TV with HDMI cable
BD connected to HT with optical cable
TV connected to HT with RCA cables

Correct?
