Hi there was looking for advice (wasn't sure where to go on this site). I'm looking at scanning a few bluray covers I have to adjust the size of the spines for my shelf (make it a little more uniformed as the mixture of 11mm and 14mm spines is driving me nuts). I'm use to making custom covers for stuff but as I have the occasional bluray that decided to use slimmer cases...or if I buy blurays from other regions (I'm in the UK and sometimes buy US ones which are often 11mm).
I have a Canon TR4650, and can scan up to 600 DPI but I get these ripple effects on my scans and they aren't very clean. So was wondering if anyone knew of a process to clean those up or if I should invest in a high end scanner? |

I don't have a great answer offhand, but you may want to consider posting your question in the Custom Cover Art thread:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...0007&page=1341 While this tends to be more focused on people making and sharing custom covers rather than scanning existing ones, I'm sure some people there likely scan some elements at times and may know some tricks that could help you with the clean up process. I do dabble in custom covers myself, but not nearly as much as some other people, and cleaning up scanned items is not one of my strong suits. But others they may be able to offer better advice in that regard than I could. |
