SNK Announces The King Of Fighters XIII Global Match

To be clear, this is NOT an April Fool's joke.

Always been a huge SNK fan, so I'm glad Nintendo is finally getting a quality KOF release. This is the First KOF game to land on a Nintendo console since the Wii. KOF 13 was one of the better KOF releases over the past decade and a half or so. I really hope this gets some sort of physical release.

At EVO Japan 2023 this weekend, SNK announced it would be releasing The King of Fighters XIII Global Match for the Switch.

It's released a teaser trailer, which you can view above (warning: flashing lights). This new version will include overhauled rollback netcode and improved online functionality. There's no release date just yet, but an open beta test will be taking place in "early summer 2023".

The game is getting a really nice release from Pix 'n Love. Not 100% sure, but I'll probably get one of the more reasonably prices limited editions. A little pricey at around $100 shipped, but I love editions that include Neo Geo AES cases. The PS4 and even Vita received a lot of these types of editions from LRG, while the Switch only received Samurai Shodown.
