I was really hoping that one of the extras on this would be “Who’s That Knocking on My Door”. It’s a great companion piece to Mean Streets.

This is the one I’ve been waiting for. It was the first Scorsese movie I saw after taxi driver when I was a teenager. I’ve been a film buff ever since. De Niro is perfect in this.
Cannot wait and needless to say day 1 for me as well.

I’m surprised Who’s That Knocking isn’t included on this as a bonus feature.

I feel like this was WTKAMD’s only shot at getting an HD release. I’m sure we’ll get Alice and BOTD eventually, I could see Arrow doing BOTD. But this is the second time Criterion missed an opportunity to release WTKAMD, the other being Scorsese Shorts which could have been an Early Scorsese set with WTKAMD bundled with the shorts.

Anyone else but me find this weird that this cover uses the possessory credit of "A Martin Scorsese Picture", when it was originally "A Martin Scorsese movie" during its release?

Scorsese prefers the former and surely has enough power to make sure it's used.

If that's the case, he would've pushed it for Taxi Driver in modern releases, but that's still "A Martin Scorsese Film". It's okay to acknowledge that you establish a moniker at some point in your career.

First saw this many years ago and have watched Scorsese's films on a regular basis since.

Should be a nice upgrade from my Blu-ray.

I have it pretty high on a list – along with Cape Fear, The Aviator and The Departed – of most wanted titles for 4K UHD.
