SEVEN SPECTACULAR FILMS FROM THE MARTIAL ARTS ICON!

Brace yourself for seven more high-octane films from the legendary career of Sonny Chiba! This second box set offers thrilling highlights from Chiba's highly influential legacy, and some of these films are making their North America Blu-ray debut. Greatly missed by his legion of fans, Shinichi "Sonny" Chiba – The "Street Fighter" – remains an icon for all time!

DISC ONE:

THE DEFENSIVE POWER OF AIKIDO (1080p High-Definition Widescreen (2.35:1), DTS-HD Master Audio Mono, 82 min.)
Jiro Chiba tackles the role of Morihei Ueshiba, born in Wakayama to a farming family and destined for martial arts greatness as he learns from the masters (including brother Sonny Chiba) and develops his own well-polished Aikido.

13 STEPS OF MAKI (1080p High-Definition Widescreen (2.35:1), DTS-HD Master Audio Mono, 78 min.)
Based on a comic book, 13 Steps Of Maki follows the leader of the all-female Stray Cats gang who use their fighting skills to help others. But when Maki crosses the daughter of a powerful man with connections to the yakuza, she winds up in prison on false charges.

DISC TWO:

KARATE WARRIORS (1080p High-Definition Widescreen (2.35:1), DTS-HD Master Audio Mono, 89 min.)
A street fighter (Sonny Chiba) arrives in a town ruled by two warring gangs headed by feuding yakuza brothers. He does everything he can to keep them feuding while tracking down a lucrative stash of drugs and befriending the son of a sword-wielding samurai ...

THE GREAT OKINAWA YAKUZA WAR (1080p High-Definition Widescreen (2.35:1), DTS-HD Master Audio Mono, 95 min.)
Co-starring alongside Hiroki Matsukata, Sonny Chiba makes for a striking, animalistic gangster battling his way through the streets of Okinawa in this eye-popping martial arts powerhouse set one year before the return of power to the mainland.

DISC THREE:

KARATE FOR LIFE (1080p High-Definition Widescreen (2.35:1), DTS-HD Master Audio Mono, 90 min.)
The final film in the Masutatsu Oyama trilogy, Karate For Life follows our hero through US-occupied Okinawa, where he leaves a professional wrestling job ... but must return to the ring in order to help a friend in desperate need of medical supplies.

GOLGO 13: ASSIGNMENT KOWLOON (1080p High-Definition Widescreen (2.35:1), DTS-HD Master Audio Mono, 92 min.)
International spy Duke Togo has taken on a tricky assignment from an American drug syndicate: take out a Hong Kong kingpin who has been selling their drugs on his own. Duke faces danger at every turn ... and competition from a detective who wants the kingpin for himself!

DISC FOUR:

THE OKINAWA WAR OF TEN YEARS (1080p High-Definition Widescreen (2.35:1), DTS-HD Master Audio Mono, 101 min.)
It's brother against brother and friend against friend when Okinawa is returned to mainland Japan ... and the local yakuza does not take kindly to being strong-armed by mainland gangs. The result is mayhem and the biggest yakuza war ever fought in Okinawa.

Damn great news. Golgo 13 and Karate Warriors are really good ones. Now comes the guessing game on the other three. Either way, this is fantastic news. Chiba is the best!

Maaan, with the Shout Shaw sets this fall and the Disney + Shows, I thought I'd budgeted my rest of the year spending. May have to wait until next year for this one. Still have those Shaw sets, about 40 Jackie Chan films and some various martial arts stuff to get to.

I did a Chiba series this summer of the first box, Street Fighter, Wolf Guy and the Executioner films. Still need Doberman Cop.

Sooo, I figure I'll be down for Chiba Round two come March or April

Usually I wouldn't say anything, but man this is Sonny Chiba. I'd put him before anything else. Also, if this sells well early on, the higher chance that we can get a third volume.

I think the bottom right picture is Okinawa 10 Year War, all the way to the left is Karate Warriors, and right is Golgo 13: Kowloon Assignment. Not sure about bottom left and middle.

Other 3? Confirmed only 5 flicks in the set?

I'm just talking about the 5 from the cover. It's probably more than that, but we know it's at least 5.

They are probably basing that on the fact that there are five images on the front cover. I think they’re guessing one per movie

Volume 2? Are they counting the Street Fighter box as volume 1? Or was I asleep at the switch. Again.

The first volume had 7 Chibas on the cover for 7 movies. So it does look like there are only five this time.

I tried really hard but couldn't find matches for the other three.

So stoked that there is a second volume though. Looks like Chiba marathon round 2 is in the works along with The Bullet Train from Discotek.

The Jackie Chan sets had more films than there were Jackie's on the cover, so I'm thinking it will be the same here. Or least hopefully. I'm hoping it won't be too long before we find out what titles are in here.

Yeah, you definitely nailed Okinawa War. I was hoping for another Adness upgrade, but nothing looks familiar.

Maybe they will do like the Shaws and have a Karate trilogy website exclusive.

There still might be, as we don't know how many films are in this set yet. Probably won't have the Karate Trilogy, but I would love to see those get a release one way or another. Those are some of his best karate films.

I could see Arrow doing the Karate films like they did for The Executioner. Plenty to go around as long as we keep supporting these.

Yes, but if Arrow releases the same set in the UK then Karate Bullfighter/Champion of Death it would be a Sister Street Fighter situation again. While the Karate films don't have any
[Show spoiler]shots of photographs of minors in sexualized nude positions
like Sister Street Fighter II, the BBFC doesn't like
[Show spoiler]an actual Bull getting it's head bashed in and horn torn off
in Karate Bullfighter because of obvious laws there.

Well, on the Toei FB group, it was mentioned that the bottom left is from Karate For Life. So the set will have the third film for sure which is basically Chiba's Enter the Dragon and fantastic news. So there will be at least one Adness upgrade in the set.
