MGM will be releasing Mr. North on a MOD Blu-ray on September 12th. The film was directed by Danny Huston, and writen by John Huston, and has a pretty great cast, including Robert Mitchum, Lauren Bacall, Harry Dean Stanton, and Anjelica Huston. Based on the cover art, it looks like this will be pressed.

Mr. North, a stranger to a small, but wealthy, Rhode Island town, quickly has rumors started about him that he has the power to heal people's ailments. The rumors are magnified by his tendency to collect negative charges and give shocks to anyone he touches. In his adventures he befriends an old man who is a shut-in and helps him rediscover the world.

Haven't seen this one but do kinda miss the pre-ER career of Anthony Edwards when he was taking on a wide variety of roles.

Another new-to-Blu title from MGM that the boutiques decided to pass on. From what i've heard don't expect anything other than re-releases from the boutique labels (Kino, VS) when it comes to MGM. The stuff in their catalog that doesn't have a prior Blu-ray or DVD release they plan to release themselves.
