Yes!! Preordered! I've wanted this one for a long time, and actually never thought we'd see it after hearing there were no usable elements out there. Anytime any stuck on VHS movie gets preserved its cause for celebration.

I'm a huge slasher fan so this was an easy pre-order.

OK, I lie. I can take or leave slashers. "...this trashy gem piles on the sleaze, with gratuitous shower scenes..." is not something I can ignore though.

Does anyone know why this costs eight bucks more than most of their releases?

Just noticed the vhs artwork is in the locker on the backside, that's silly.

From the most recent VS newsletter, the restoration was painstakingly sourced from "the best surviving pre-print elements."

Plus, in our ongoing commitment to unearth and release the greatest in never-on-disc slashers, we're proud to present the world Blu-ray debut of Michael Elliot's notorious FATAL GAMES (1984)! You've heard for years that this one was "impossible," well we've defied the odds and painstakingly restored it from the best surviving pre-print elements and proudly present the ultimate edition of this twisted gem, complete with an immense array of extras.

I don't think any film benefit with a lesser image quality.

No, they don't, but "Grindhouse Editions" are always fun and a throwback to a past era. Thankfully, the labels that do these editions also include the fully remastered versions so it's not a loss.

Watched this on Tubi a few months back. Right up my alley 80's slasher.

VS website hasn’t made any mention that I can find.

Any educated guesses?
Most likely 6,000.

$29.99 is their regular price for Blu-ray editions with slipcover.

Jeez - this is like "Iron Maiden - Dance of Death" level of awful cover design.

I like the slipcover art, just not a fan of the font used for the title.

I don't mind it because it has that "olympic gold" thing going for it. I'm sure the reverse art will have the more recognizable font.

Be glad they didn't use the font everyone and their mothers are using now. No idea what it's called but SONY used it for the the I Know What You Did Last Summer films. That font is freaking everywhere.

After seeing the trailer for this I remembered I have seen it after all. I for whatever reason didn't recall seeing it. I don't remember if I liked it or not, but it's one I want regardless.

I prefer the old tape release on a CRT tv if I want a "grindhouse edition".
