Pats are looking good.

Moss seems to be fitting in quite nicely so far

108 yard kickoff return: longest in NFL history. Not a bad start to the season!

Damn the Cowboys suck. Deja vu. Giving up the big plays AGAIN.

At least we have a new head coach that we can REALLY get excited about!

Dem cowgirls seem to be sharpening up as the game goes on. The team certainly has the talent. If they can string some games of chemistry together, they may be a real threat in the NFC!

They were lucky tonight. Romo was on the mark.

Even though I should be ecstatic that they won, I just HATE all the retarded mistakes that they make. They give up a TD right before the half with 19 seconds.....then they fumble the kickoff and let the Giants score again!

Then when it looks like they have a good chance to run a lot of time off the clock Romo throws an INT.

They won, but it was ugly. Their defense needs to improve a lot.

Eagles and Giants lose, Cowboys and Redskins win (barely for the skins).

hahahaha. Well not saying it was a great game, but the Raiders showed improvement over last season. I think they could have won if they didn't get sloppy in the 4th.

I saw that and started laughing my rear off.

On a more serious note though, my prayers go out to Everett and his family. The outlook doesn't look good that he will even be able to walk, much less return to football ever. Some reports saying that he is not out of the woods yet, and might not survive.

Such as shame and a shock to see such a serious injury on a common play.

PS. Go Chargers! 1-0

Damn shame to see that. The report is he has to stay sedated (more or less unconscious) 3 more days and on a respirator so that the swelling can go down and the doctors can get a better look of whats wrong. The preliminary reports are looking like he will be partially paralyzed and there will be permanent neurological paralysis.

Unbelievable.

When was the last time something this serious occurred on the field? Was it a player on The Lions?

I believe so.

I certainly have no medical background but I think anyone who saw that footage from the Bills-Broncos game knew almost immediately something was horribly wrong.

I love the game of football, but I wish there were ways to make the game more safe without ruining the integrity of the game itself.

Broken Necks happen about once a year, but the last devastating injury like this was Mike Utley of the Lions in 1991. Still, I like good hard hits, but definitely not like this. At least the Denver fans had enough class not to cheer and somber up.
