Looking forward to this, the (UK?) release of this I have in SDR looks pretty bad encoding wise, especially on reds. The scan itself looked to be quite nice

I have yet to watch the Arbelos release, and I guess it will go unwatched now. It's exciting to see Discotek embrace 4k more now with this and Street Fighter 2 coming out basically back to back, and I never thought they would be able to get Belladonna, let alone give it a new HDR grade too.

This is a release I'm definitely looking forward to, I have the other 2 animerama films on blu ray & belladonna would definitely look gorgeous in 4k with its watercolor like art

I'm interested if they don't do what they did with the Street Fighter release.
That one went from a buy to a no thank you as soon as people started posting screenshots.

Maybe the feedback on that one worked and they won't "tinker" on this

there's gonna be some DNR regardless (the existing SDR UHD disc from the UK has abrasive (and probably fake) grain), but the HDR grade will be by Discotek themselves so yeah no teal

I’m interested in this but reading the synopsis makes me worry if that event that sets off the plot is excessively done. Is it really explicit?

It's explicit, but it's not realistic or anything. Surreal, psychedelic, painterly. Gorgeous film.

After reading another thread… seems many hate them… so I guess it’s a bit dodgy ordering from them.

Dunno but I was able to preorder it in late March from them for less than Amazon

I got a shipment confirm email from Crunchy Roll

It was supposed to have been shipped Priority mail, but the tracking prefix is clearly for Media Mail.

Is that how they normally ship even though they say priority mail. Media mail is the worst.
