It begs the question of the motive behind trying to stifle and hide 3D versions of any movie. What's the point? The 3D hardware is still out there alive and kicking in homes across the globe.

Not buying no 4k stuff.

I will buy 4K stuff, but not if it was 3D in cinemas, so I won't buy Meg 2 and I won't buy this.

WB did me a favour with Meg 2. I would have bought it in 3D on principle, but the movie was absolute drivel.

This one is going to sting a lot more when it gets dumped out flat.

I suppose a small modicum of copium is maybe Warner Archives makes an exception for a superhero movie of this calibre, but my heart says no.

Aquaman is also a DC property. James Gunn runs DC Studios. He also has a Twitter account.

Early word is that this is a terrible movie. I really enjoyed the first one and if this has 3D showing, I'll go. If not in 3D, I'll pass and catch it on streaming sometime.

I have complete faith in James Wan. It just stinks that this won't get a 3D blu ray.

Confirmation coming from Warner India in the description, all that's missing is confirmation from the company that is converting it and the next trailers.

3D in theaters would be a hopeful start. If the film does well and people go to see it in 3D (if it's in 3D hopefully), Warner Bros. at one time would've been one of the last big studios/distributors to keep releasing blu ray 3Ds of their 3D theatrical films for a good while there. After Fox's/Disney's Avatar 2 got a blu ray 3D long after 2017's cease production of 3D TVs, there's a shred of hope this could eventually get a blu ray 3D release down the road.

Discovery bought WB, so not sure what the story is these days with all the cutbacks especially at WB, cutting back on films, having a low attendance in theaters for their DC movies lately, and eliminating the Batgirl movie before it was completed. The tide has changed with Warner Bros. then.

At the very least, will see this Aquaman 2 in 3D theaters hopefully this December. Will rewatch Aquaman 1 3D soon, which has a range of medium to strong 3D and looks great in 3D.

3D for all formats confirmed here in mainland China release. 3D only for IMAX version. It should be one of the biggest 3D releases of this year here. (Meg 2 only released in 2D here, Marvels and Little Mermaid from Disney only have standard version released in 3D, IMAX version only have 2D released.)

FWIW, I saw The Marvels in IMAX 3D and got the latest trailer for this and it was neither in 3D nor any mention of it in the credits. Felt like a missed opportunity frankly.

Yeah, same here today. No 3D for Aquaman 2, which absolutely begs for the 3D while watching all of the potential layering going on underwater withl the crowds and sea life/terrain. It's going to be much less exciting in 2D if WB is looking to cut costs foolishly without a 3D version in the US by some chance. The Flash, I thought that would've been great in 3D, but nothing.

I just watched The Marvels in 3D and was very disappointed that they didn't have an Aquaman 3D Trailer. They had the Aquaman Trailer but it wasn't in 3D.

I'm a little surprised they'd run a trailer for DC's big film of the year before a MCU film.

I have to rewatch Aquaman 1 blu ray 3D before this releases in December 2023, which had medium to strong 3D layering and some pop outs. I'm surprised the movie was not delayed further. It was originally supposed to be in theaters a year ago+ I think, before Discovery bought WB.

Keaton and Affleck Batmans were cut from this film I think because of the timing of the release after The Flash.

It was IMAX 3D and they don't miss an opportunity to do IMAX trailers.

Thanks. Hopefully Cinemark shows it around here, too bad 3D and screenx seem mutually exclusive.

Something looks off about Aquabro in that poster...when you want to cast Rob Zombie but best you can do Is Jason Momoa?

Thanks for the update. Good to see the 3D icon appearing on the poster. That's hopeful too.

I don't know why the trailers I've seen aren't mentioning 3D with less than a month to go about, when Avatar 2 was a massive hit because of the underwater 3D, of which Aquaman 2 has a lot of underwater scenery. Who is in charge of marketing there?

Unless it's a last minute conversion and they're not certain yet, with editing of the film potentially still going on? I thought this was completed a year ago.
