I'm not sure what country you're in, but in the US (at least where I am), HBO Max streaming is spectacular, 1000x better than pixely Netflix.

I'll admit, I'm less of an audiophile than most other people here, but the picture looks gorgeous on any new, true 4K material. Dune and the new Matrix movie looked amazing.

Ah, that's right, I seem to remember a discussion when this disc was announced, that it's never been made available in 4K and may not even have been filmed that way.

The US and Canadian release would be identical, as both are North America.

The difference would be that the US one wouldn’t have an import ban in place like the Canadian one.

I ended up getting the iTunes download but if a US BluRay comes out with both seasons at a low price I’d upgrade to that. Maybe it will happen now that HBO is removing the show from its service.

There would be no difference in the releases though, which is why making this NTSC release unavailable in the US is just frustrating, annoying, and stupid. Somehow, there was some cockeyed reason they decided not to make it available in the US, and it very likely had to do with HBO Max exclusivity streaming rights and licensing. They wanted to make that the only way for people strictly in the US to watch it, even though it's absolutely moot now because the show wasn't renewed, and oh...it's being pulled off of HBO Max streaming along with all of their other shows because they were just bought out. So the very reasons they made the second season unavailable on disc no longer apply, but they didn't consider or allow for the possibility of what has occurred with their own company and the marketplace, and so the only people to suffer are their domestic viewers.

They're a bunch of bozos, in short.

I finally broke down and bought the First and Second Seasons from MovieMars -- U.K. releases.

I don't know ANYTHING about this show other than what I saw in the trailer, so I hope that I enjoy it.... I see "Ridley Scott" and I click "Buy Now."

On a personal note, my Wife and I were very, VERY close to naming our son "Ridley Scott"...so you can tell that I'm a fan who is obsessed with his films.

That was my thinking as well. This show debuted almost four years ago, and NO ONE seems to care that it was never released in North America.

Streaming STRIKES AGAIN!

He directed the first and second episodes of the first season, so I bought the S1 BD set for my Ridley collection.

He didn't direct any episodes of S2, and I don't know what creative involvement he had with it, if any, so I didn't buy S2.
